How much front driveshaft slip?

Definitely doing square for my front. I'd like to throw a 1410 on the d60 side at the least while I'm regearing. The rear is obviously important to be proper.

I used to have front and rear square shafts on my off-road only Ranger. They worked great and were very cost effective. Never broke one or had it separate but they are definitely very noticeable and are harder on the tcase outputs and axle pinions. That is a lot of unbalanced rotating mass after all. Just showing pros and cons here
 
Sounds like you are in the same boat as me. I have a barely used 1350 CV rear and 1410 singles up front so I would need two completely different spare shafts. I decided to keep the rear pinion 1350 because that's what it already had and the used shaft was set up for that also. The front had a 1310 yoke so I decided to upgrade to 1410 there for strength and angle tolerance. Didn't want to go 1350 CV at the front output because it's too bulky for my exhaust clearances, more expensive, and I don't have the right geometry for it to be effective (pinion isn't pointed at t-case output for caster reasons).

By the way, you only use one superflex joint per shaft not two and its usually at the t case output.

yes very similar situations and I don't plan on going very fast in 4wd so a CV up front isn't necessary.

Nope, just the opposite, they compound if you try to use two and you get some really funky stuff. This is according to Tom Woods salesperson.

The pinion yoke end is very rarely going to need more than the standard angle of a stock 1410, especially if you use a flange instead of yoke (i didnt do this btw due to cost). The t case is running with the drivetrain slope so the front output is actually pointing up a couple degrees if you've set up your drivetrain correctly. This is the problem spot for me
 
Torque. 40 inch tires and 450 hp toeing a trailer up a trail. It just sheared the yoke right off. U joints fine. Will post pics later. Going to driveshaft shop tomorrow
 
the video is pretty cool You can actually see the limited slip working on the front as I am coming up the hill. What the video doesn't show is that the hill is a lot steeper than it looks and has some pretty good holes to climb out of. I was climbing up out of the last hole while the trailer was stuck in another when I was almost at the top. I snapped a 10 bolt axle in the same exact place doing the same thing about 10 years ago. This time, the truck was built a lot more, but the power was a lot more too and I had a trailer lol.

I just kinda wanted to see what I could tackle with the trailer. I guess I know now.
