Yeah they are half ton axels. But no lockers, the previous owner used the coil hose for the vent tube. I am in the process of gettin funds to do 14 BFF swap, the wheels are 15" and I'd hate to put out the cash for another set of wheels and 44s just for the axels, so it may have to wait till the tires go bald! Lol. I have a 454 in another blazer and plan on dropping that in when I get a sm465 and do it all at once. But for right now the fam and I enjoy cruising it around town

15" wheels will bolt right up to a 14bff.

You can even use 15" wheels on a front Dana 60, you just have to grind a little off the brake calipers to make them small enough for the wheels to fit over. There's an article about how to do it in the "Technical Articles" section on the CK5 homepage.

Ok cool, I'll look for it. Thanks. I just didn't think they would fit. I wanna swap the axles soon, I Had a lug nut pop off the other day when I was just turning into a parking spot!(hardcore pavement I guess. Lol). is it hard to find a 15" 8lug wheel?? The crappy part is that I had a set of d60/14b that sat around for 8-9 years and sold em last year cuz I didn't think I'd ever use em!!!

one of the adds in 4 wheeler magazine is for a wheel company that claims to speacilize in 8 lug 15's. like $169 a piece for beadlocks IIRC. Looked into them for my CC so I could do tons

yeah i was ebay and found some 15x14 8 lugs decent price, its good knowing now that i wont have to dish out 2500-3000 on tires for an axle swap!! thanks again

Eaton is the company you're looking for. They should cost less than $100 for non-beadlock steel wheels too, unless you want something other than the standard 3.75" backspacing. I have a set of black powder coated ones on my truck and I've never had any problem with them except one time when a lot of thick mud built up between the bead of the wheel and the rim protector on the tire and then the tire went flat. But it only happened once.

I love that your blazer is so tall that removing the top consists of sliding it on the roof of a building lol. That things hugongorous!

I've been wheeling for years and can appreciate everything. Some people might say some mall crawler BS but that truck is fu$!ing awesome!! The one thing I would add, a kinda funny quote from someone here or on pirate is," 44s and the words 1/2 ton axles in the same sentence bring tears to my eyes" or something like that... LOL
And fellas correct me if I'm wrong but can you convert 14b/d60 to 6 lug hubs pretty easy?

I don't think you can Larry. Different spindles and hubs and such. I have seen some D60 conversions for Jeep and Ford 5 lug patterns, but never for a 6 lug. Besides, why would you want to anyway? :D

Plus, since the parts to do so are custom, it'd cost you at least as much as a set of wheels.

You can do it, its just not "cheap". I saw a blazer with a Chevy 60 converted to 6 lug.

I have a 14bff with a 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern. I also ended up building a matching Dana 60 with the same pattern. It can be done but, I am not too sure how cheap it is (it has been a few years since I did it).

yeah i wanted to take the top off for the kids baseball game, but i sure wasnt gonna muscle the top to the ground then have to lift it to put back on, when i pulled in my driveway i immediately found a solution!!! lol.
and yeah i know (half ton axles!) i dont do a lot of crazy four wheeling right now, its almost my daily driver, so im not too hard on it. but yeah i will need the 8 lugs cuz like i said before that i had snapped a lug nut the other day just turning into a parking spot its a lot of pressure for that axle to handle with the big tires and only 6 lugs
