How will my K5/truck look with xx" tires on xx" of lift?

Didn't that sell ages ago?

What about that k30?

Obi, truth be told, i listed it for sale a couple times over the years but couldnt bring myself to sell until about 2 years ago. The truck wasnt being driven as it was at my folks house and i didnt want to see it rot away.

Ill see if i can dig up any pics of the k30. That had some bad rust and life kept me from doing a body swap. That truck ended up getting sold to a buddy who put the 4-link on a bobbed m1008 with 40” MTR’s.

Ive been away for a couple years, but the bug is back and I miss the k5, so looking to get into another one.

@markrazz stock height is about 8.5" between the bottom of the frame and the top of the front axle tube, any difference is your amount of lift.

I have 39.5 x 18 on 14” rims. Need advice as to how high I should lift and what your opinion is as to what I should do.

No pulling. No rock climbing. Just beach combing and looking good!

73 K5? Stock / uncut wheel openings? Are you willing to cut or no?

You'll likely get responses that you can fit 40's with as little as 4" of lift but you'd have to trim a fair amount. The 14" wide wheels are the tricky part since they push the tires way out.

I’m thinking of the Superlift 8” kit. The tires are 18” wide. Rims 14” wide.

I have 43's on 12" wide wheels on my Blazer with 8" of lift ( 7" suspension + 1" body) but I trimmed a pretty good bit all the way around each wheel opening. I basically cut the body line / flare off of each opening.

Got pics?

I’m planning on running it on the roads around town and on the beach. No rock crawling!

You are correct @nvrenuf ... I am one of those guys... 3.5" lift with 40s. Just needed to trim

@Whistlerski71 yes, the axles arenpth moved. The first pic (w/ roll cage) is how it sits now, the front is 2” forward and the rear is 3” back. In the second pic the rear axle was 5” back but I thought it looked odd so I came back towards the center a little.

@the_blaze i see you there with Plan B putting the pressure on the rest of us.
