Wrong place for this post, but check for a cracked frame at the steering box.

They replaced ball joints u joints shocks steering box added a stabilizer bar. And some other stuff. I don't know what a tag joint is. Is that some sort of joke?

What is a rag joint. And where is it. Sorry. This blazer project is my first

It is the joint at the end of the steering shaft, where it connects to the steering box.
Here is a pic of the shaft with ujoints I replaced mine with.

So you can replace the rag joint with a shaft with I joints? Is this something you can buy or do you need to pull it from a different car? And will this tighten up the steering a lot ?

Guys get u-joint style steering shafts out of XJs. Check the for sale section - there's a fellow who has a ton of info on the shaft swap in there. The rag joint is a rubber joint at the steering box that intends to take vibration out of the steering wheel. But, over time they wear out and allow for slop in the steering. So, look at that rubber joint and see if it's worn. You should be able to play with it a bit and see if there's slop there. Some guys swear by the XJ swap as the real-deal fix for the steering slop. My rag joint is in great shape still (I have a '90 Blazer), so I wouldn't know. But, it's very popular on this forum.

Awesome. Thanks so much. I got more useful info from you in twenty minutes than a hand full of mechanics over several weeks. Thanks again

Haha thank you how the heck did you do that?

When looking at the pic on your photobucket page you'll see a "links to share this photo" box on the right side of the page. Copy the "img" link and post it as is. Ta da!
