How will my K5/truck look with xx" tires on xx" of lift?

35’ tires look good on 17’ wheels?
I have 37 now but hmm, not sure if I like them.
Pros and cons for 35-37’
For desert/street driving

35s and 37s look good on 17s. Problem is 17s dont always look good on our trucks. They are typically made with higher amounts of backspace so they are tucked under the fenders more. If you get a 17x9 it will probably have a 4.5 backspace. Which is very not bad. Id prefer 3.75" backspace on a set of tons if I were being picky.

Yeah, we’ll I’m sticking with the wheels for the foreseeable future, unless some extra money falls my way.

The tires and wheels are practically brand new.

But I’m thinking 35’s might make a better ride around town at least when these 37’s run their course. I have a 4’ lift as well with rear shackle flip.

If we are exclusively talking about tire size and all other things being equal, you will not notice a ride quality from 35 to 37.
Dont sweat it. More important is matching the tire size to gearing.

That’s what I was after. If the difference is so noticeable to warrant a premature tire swap. I’ll run the 37’s for now
Thanks

Where did you get the soft top I love it

@Samhenley06 - that picture is from 2006….he hasnt been online since ‘09, you arent going to get an answer from him. I forget rhe company that use to make that top, but they are long out of business now. Your best bet is to fab up mounts on the truck and have a marine shop make one for you. Or of course be patient and wait for one to show up for sale second hand.

What’s the suspension setup on that?

Makes me miss Big Ugly hard.

Bridgestone Blizzak LT 265/70/R17 (31.6X10.4R17) on 2005 Toyota 4Runner rims - 17"x7.5 rim, 30mm backspacing, 4.17" center bore, 6 on 5.5 pattern, nonstandard mag lug nut - had to order special lug nuts to put them on 7/16-20.

"Stock" 1979 Jimmy w/ collapsed front spring due to plow "leveling kit"

Had to remodel the steering knuckle on the driver's side with a grinder to fit, recommend a 1" or 30mm spacer to get them stood out. They fill the wheel well nicely, but set a touch too far inboard. Probably going to add a spacer if I can find one that will not require new lugs.
