So when are some of those times?Sometimes....
The deal is not all 33 in tires are created equal. Some might actually be 32 in tall some might be 33 1/2 in tall. 1981 models and up have a larger front fender opening as well.So when are some of those times?
When they rub... youll find out.So when are some of those times?
Are there any modifications that have to be done to put 33’s on stock height?
@nvrenuf pretty much said it.So when are some of those times?
Somehow the PO of my K5 mounted BFG 33x12.5x15 on 15"x12" rims they rubed on the rear lip. I remounted on 15x8 no issues@nvrenuf pretty much said it.
Narrow wheels that tuck in will make a 33" tire no matter the width, fit with no rubbing.
I had a set and they were great, then I got a set with wider 10" wheels and stick out more and I had to cut the rear and front lip.
It was bad not just rubbing but catching the lip and ripping it
My 89' has 3.75" backspace and I have less than 3/8" of space between tie rod and rim on 15" rim@Bob39666 wheel width and offset are a major factor in what fits. The truck you quoted has ralleys so they are narrow (8”?) and have stock backspacing which is around 4.5”, any wider or less backspacing would almost certainly make the tires rub.
Yeah 12" rims push the tires out and they rub, even 10" wheels.Somehow the PO of my K5 mounted BFG 33x12.5x15 on 15"x12" rims they rubed on the rear lip. I remounted on 15x8 no issues
That was with a 3" lift.

Pretty sure the joint under clears betterMy 89' has 3.75" backspace and I have less than 3/8" of space between tie rod and rim on 15" rim
Are there different tollerances with the three diffent 4x4 tie rod set ups? Is one "Better" than the other Top down vs Bottom up Tie Rod?
