Howdiymobile....

I'll do the rockers on mine like that with the taper in the back. I can't get into the doors with the power windows though.

I'm going to make some bumpers out of pipe, It's like 100 bucks ford a bender and 12 bucks for a 10 ft section of pipe. For bumpers I think DOM isn't really necessary. If the pipe goes well for the front bumper I'll go ahead and tube out the rear also. I may leave the skins on each side though. I don't even think the cage really needs DOM, 2" pipe should be fine.

Heres a pipe cage

Thanks

Maybe today I can get the tranny and transfer case in

My poop pipe bender may have came into harbor freight also

Got the transmission in today, hopefully I can get the transfer case in tomorrow, after cutting a hole in the floor. I have to remove the nasty ass carpet, along with the seats and the center console tomorrow.

It sits a little lower now

I think I want to drill the perches so the axle is forward another inch

I didn't get around to calling harbor Freight for my poop pipe bender today.

I'll probably just keep it like it is so I don't make the wheel base any longer and just cut the fenders.

I'm going to tube out the back and the hole back half will be getting cut off it should turn out looking somewhat like willard. It would only take like 75 bucks worth of pipe to do it. :D

PS: who tagged this fapulous :haha:

I've been wanting to incorporate fap into something I have cnc cut, I'll see what I can do

Heres what i want to do for the rockers, just a little lower so I don't have to cut the doors, hopefully dleroy doesn't mind me posting these.

I think I want to do rim stiffners that look like this

i was gonna ask about the rear axle also.but if its getting chopped,no need for relocation.looks like it wil be fun.you are doing a lot of good fab work already.:D

Got the transfer case in with no cutting

I can't shift it though, so I'll have to cut one for that :flipoff2:

And this is a first for Florida, I only have a front driver shaft , most trucks down here haven't had one in years

My floor also turned out to be in very good condition

The wheels will be bronze. I took a pic of a wheel that I sprayed a small section but you cant really see it that good.

My dad scrapped another in similar condition :doah:. This one was going to crushed also

We still have the doors and front clip though. Plus the engine.

I found an axle locally :D

But I still need some springs. All the new springs I'm finding are going for like 200 each :screwy:

I think I may experiment with making springs similar to deaver

I'll take my main leaf and take two corvette rear leaf springs and put those o the main leaf.

They have 9 very thin leaves and are arched quite a bit, they around 250# rate

I'm the proud new owner of a harbor freight pipe bender

I'll probably make some sliders this weekend. I'll start tomorrow.
