Howdiymobile....

It was only 70 bucks shipped with hardware and the silicone sealant and a life time warranty, mainly because it was cheap though.

I mainly just dealt with ballistic because they are one of the few who has 7/8-18 threaded rod adapters, plus cool stickers lol

Anyways I added the inner fenders today, it was super hot and 100% humidity. I still need to bend this side back some more

I got a sway bar from a 99 land rover

It should add around 80 pounds per inch of torsional rate

I'll put it on tomorrow

I want more info on the swaybar. Got any installed pics? How did you estimate the torsional stiffness?

I started on the exhaust, I Had to cut my flanges off my headers because they hit the d-shaft so I just clamped the exhaust tube to the header.

I need to get 2 more 6 ft length and then I'll be about done.

I put on my cover and then cut the old tube adapter off and put a right hand thread in it. I also painted it, but that was after this picture. I painted the ubolts also

Pretty boring lol

I have 5" over stock

I'm not sure about the sway bar, the 2wd setup is completely different

****

I ordered the wrong cap from JKW :doah:, I'll see if a guy I know wants to buy it because he has hydro assist on his late model

I also received my offset air cleaner so at least I can drive it a little more.

Edit: I painted some stuff on the front end, I'll clean everything when It runs and drives and it's at home.

Best limiting strap around is the right length shackle...

That being said I wouldnt use those tie down straps. All those ratchet, tie down, etc straps stretch.

I was just going to put it on the lift and go full droop, then lower it about 2 inches and put the straps on so they soften the hit the shocks will take. Especially on the front, those shocks towers are a big lever trying to twist the frame.

shackle length has nothing to do with a limiting strap.

How do you figure? A proper length shackle will limit down travel thus alleviating the need for limiting straps. Hence my statement that a proper length shackle is the best limiting strap since it takes the place of needing them.

if he gets any shorter shackle on the front, the spring would be riding on the frame.

maybe he doesn't want all the droop he is capable of, maybe his driveshaft binds, there are instances where limiting straps will do what someone wants, and shorter shackles aren't an option, unless you want to comprimise ride.

I just want to limit travel for longevity, otherwise if I put up a wheel it will be putting a lot of stress in areas that aren't as strong, with the straps I can put them so that they will pull from a secure place. On the front I'll have them pull from the engine cross member area, it's plated and reinforced with a cross member and much stronger than the giant shock tower.

howdiy, did you shim the front end? the front yokes looks like its pointed up nicely.

I didn't do anything, but my front spring hangers do drop down about an 1" over a b52 or stock.

My rear end makes up for it though, it has a pretty bad angle but I'm just gonna leave it.
