I got the front seats cleaned, the carpet vacuumed, and got it all reinstalled!

Got all of the various parts out of the trunk. Found a 1974 Colorado University Buffaloes schedule! Also found the warranty paper for the Ansen Sprint aluminum slot mags!

This is just an awesome story an an awesome car, like a dream come true. I like Buicks and I like A bodies.
What are your plans, since it's all numbers matching do you plan to keep it original, or do bolt on mods that can be reversed?
Also, 3 intake manifolds is awesome, plus it must be rare to have a dual carb single plane with dividers, I've never seen a single plane with full dividers.
I feel like you either clean and reinstall the factory intake or if you do the dual carb then you have to do the headers with it, although that lower center header bolt looks like a total PITA.

The original owner worked at a chrome shop in the early 70's. By 1975, a lot of the car was chromed. My plan is to get the car back in the road as he had it in 1975. Leave the chrome, run the original intake, a q-jet with the ram-air air cleaner, and the headers. ( as the exhaust system is set up for the headers and is entirely chromed!)
Is the original intake cast iron or aluminum? That B4B is aluminum and dual plane, which is nice and probably the best all around intake for that car with a carb.

The dual quad setup is my choice. But would probably be the most challenging to dial in. Plus I don’t think I’ve ever seen a setup where the carbs aren’t oriented in the same direction. It’s a killer looking setup but not really providing any increase in power until higher rpm’s come in anyway.
I noticed that too as I haven't seen that either.
Although, those are not 4 corner idle carbs, and they are mounted on an intake with divided runners. That means if they were both facing the same direction you would only get idle fuel control for one bank with the idle screws. I have converted them to 4 corner idle but it probably wasn't common back then.
I have to agree those dual carbs would look good with those headers.
That engine wants a cam!

I found the receipt, and warranty/instructions. lol.
The Edelbrock B4B intake was used on the Stage 2 Buick kits. With 455, Stage 2 heads, cam, headers, and B4B intake, they supposedly made over 500hp.
