I have a K5!

I dunno. I get called a Damn Yankee once more by some local yahoo and I'm going to go back home and come back with the 11th Cavalry!

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to live here. Sometimes I just have to shake my head though.

I guess that's why I've never been called a Damn Yankee - even though I lived in MI for 5 years. :dunno:

Cali was in the Union in the Civil War but don't tell the yokels. You gotta be from north of the Mason-Dixon line to be a Yankee.

Ya, Like "Westconsin"....I get sick of hearing that anytime I'm down visiting my relatives in 'Lanta. Why is it that the "A" seems to be silent to most down there?

I'm not a Kentuckian either, and have only driven through there two or three times, but I hope you like me anyway.

Most of the residents of Michigan have driven through Kentucky many times...but never stopped.

I like you fine...Army and all...

Completely back on topic (my Blazer) I fired it up Saturday and moved it around during an EPIC FAIL of a furniture moving/storing event my gf and her dad came up with. Needs an oil change and has been started and moved twice since late October but it fired right up and happily rumbled around the yard several times. It's not 100% healthy but it's still a good feeling that it worked that willingly.:)

May have turfed the yard once...:doah:

The lift pump on the block is leaking a lot so I piss away a large % of my fuel literally just into the wind under the truck. It runs and drives but I'm throwing away money doing so. Just haven't fixed it.

I also don't drive it in the winter. Keep it out of the salt and ****. Why I got the DD Tracker.

Oh ok, I guess that makes sense... I sometimes forget that not everyone has the same motive for theirs that I do... just to drive in the winter... haha. and a pissing blazer doesn't sound like too much fun.

My Tracker is easier to drive, more maneuverable, and more efficient than my Blazer every day. It also bothers me far less to drive in the salt and winter crap. When it gets rusty I'll sell it and get something else or just drive it into the ground and get something else.

Harder and harder to do that with a K5.

Well, I would have to agree with you on that... I'm sure my opinion on salt and rust will change a lot once I take care of all the rust on mine... I'll probably want to take care of it a little more too

Minor update.

Put a new lift pump on it Saturday. My buddy had done it on vehicles before and led the way. Due to EVERYTHING being in the way with his help it only took us about 4 hours and one trip to the parts store instead of taking me all day and lord knows how many trips.
The good news is that it seems to not be peeing fuel on the ground.:thumb: Maybe I'll get better mpg than a small block gasser now.:D
Roads are still salty as hell so it just got idled for half an hour. If we get enough rain to clear them off it'll come out in a while.

Happy to report it fired right up before and after the swap. Loving the better weather down here along with the recent heat wave.:cool1:

Also, just a few weeks away from some 33's. Selling my 32's to a member and upgrading. My biggest regret since buying these tires has been that I went safe and got the 32's...I totally should have gotten the 33's. Spins the two inch taller 32's just like the 31's that were on it, still seems low geared, and the 33's will fit...dammit. Otherwise I love the tires. Great on and offroad and wearing excellent after 15,000 miles. I've barely lost any tread.
So I'm getting another set:

Not sure on the narrower or wider 33's but will have that figured out soon.

Also looking into a paint job. Member on here did his Burb in an interesting way and might just attempt it on The Blazer and my buddy's car. Stay tuned folks.
