i wanted to cry yesterday...

Dang Matt I fergot about that. Didnt you guys bury the land yacht too?
 
yeah we sure did, it slid jackknifed into a snowdrift turning around to get trailer possitioned to load the black truck on. HAd to pull it up the hill to straighten the trailer out. How much fun is breaking your rig then having to 4X another rig WITH a trailer back in there then get it stuck then 4X your rig out of there on a trailer. Broke it in the middle of the night and it was late evening by the time we got it out of there the next day
 
Can't help you much on the frame. But trust me even though you think punching a tire is a good idea when angry.... its not. Ask me how I know:doah: :(

Probably busted a nut or two while you were at it
 
i (being young) have gotten mad 2 mant times to list. i smashed a window when my fuel cut off switche got switched off, got that fixed and when my engine was gonna crap on me i hit the front fender where the turn signal s @ and i smashed that and dented the metal. my nuckels are okay. just get so frustreted over nothing!!!

Dang man you sound like how I used to be. I have since found that punching things really doesnt help, just hurts a hella lot more and there is still the problem at hand. When I get pissed I just go fishing. Helps me. You gotta find ur own stress reliever. Hitting stuff prolly aint the best, unless its a punching bag, which is also a great stress reliver.
 
just saturday i punched mt radio and well now i cant tell what station im listening to!!! well it was a cheap sterio!!LOL yeah i used to go fishin with my uncle and well he is a contract worker now and he is never here. :( and well i skate once and a while relieves my stress

Naw Rolled a Sidekick (ya big surpise eh) off the high way and got pissed off so I punched the tire. Second time rolling said vehicle too :rolleyes: . Needless to say I ended up busting my hand up. Have since learned you do not punch things. Like hunterguy86 said you need to just step away and calm down, cause if you punch or throw things ( ya i got this habit too) you end up with more than just the problem at hand.


I feel like i should contribute to the usefullness of the the thread so I say weld it up with some plates and get the bolt on brace.
 
You guys should see the driver front fender on my Sblazer...:doah:
Good little crease on that sucker...pretty much have to pull the fender to fix it. It may just be the first dent in many though...more beatup it gets the more I think I should make a trail rig out of it
 
i broke my frame about halfway up, im not saying ord's brace isnt tits but maybe you should go to a welding shop, tell them your situation and see if you could help clean up for a couple weekends to pay off them patching your frame, when my frame was broke i didnt have 50$ to my name, i ended up doing favors for people and got my frame welded back together
 
measure then measure again tack measure again get a cold soda measure again weld it up and plate it up be done with it. That is an old break too. Good luck with it, I would do what Jishory said, talk to the shop next door explain your situation and see if they will let you trade your time as payment. Make sure they let you help in fixing as well.

Too bad you aren't living closer. I gotta a frame I could have donated. Seems like a good enough cause for a little donation!:thumb:

i didnt punch it hard... and im usually pretty calm. i never yell when im mad or punch things for that matter.. but this seemed like a good cause. failing classes at school, about to get fired from work (for being late or not showing up because of my truck), no girlfriend anymore, AND MY TRUCK NOT BEING DRIVABLE!.....could always be worse right?? at least i have the ghetto sled to drive while mine is down!:bow: but it was bad because the column in it was all taken apart when i saw mine. so we put it back together. im not trying to get pitty by saying this ^^ up there. i was just explaining how i am normally calm but this was kind of a big thing for me...:crazy: straw that broke the camels back i suppose.:o lol.

wow. looks bad for sure. I jus put in the ORD steerbox Brass kit they sell. Mine frame wasnt cracked or any issues, but thought it was some insurance for sure. Will the brace keep something like that from happening?
 
I personally don't think it is as bad as it looks. Its a clean break and nothing looks bent. Just pull together so it all lines back up. Tack it top and bottom and do a final quick measure. Grind a V in the crank and weld her up. No biggy. I have trailers come in with cracks and broken suspension all the time, its not too hard, just take your time
 
sorry to hear about the truck, but if u make your own braces, u need to make sure you have a the little lips or nipples for the box to rest up against on the left outter side, otherwise, when u mount the gear box back up, it sits funny and wont work. if u look at the ord kit, u see how they have the raised pieces for the bolts to go thru. i did this and had to make some of my own. sucks! mines kinda half ass, but its strong as hell. good luck
 
yea im glad it isnt all bent out of shape to bad... the worst part is that i dont have a chance to work on it till monday. it was sad today to go get my cd's and nametag for work out of it. i started it up just because i felt like it may do it some good... that just made it worse for me though....:crazy: ..hearing the engine and not being able to drive it... well im off to work. thanks for all of yalls replies. there are some really good ideas. some that i would not have thought of to do.. its nice to have people that understand what it means whne you say your frames broke. ..(all the people at my school "hey why arent you driving your truck?"... "my frames broken.".. "whats that mean???" well some people knew but only a handfull.).. ok i have to go.. thank yall again!. -Sam-
