Im hittin up a few junk yards tomorrow, hit another yard today. New pics!

Can you see what they want for the Brush guard on the red one? Also do you think it would work on a 87? It says it is on a 1980.

Front frame rails are different between 73-80 and 81-87/91, so it'll take some fab work to make that thing fit your truck, won't be a bolt-up.

Damn Munepit I think I'll go down my local junkyard this weekend now. Thanks for the motivation.

How about a pitman arm from a 75~80 (+/-) Ford E-series van?
Make sure the thick splines line up along the arm. There are some Ford vans that have the splines at a 45deg angle.

my D60 is currently STILL in the back of my truck :doah:

though I took advantage of not being able to get it out....took an 11hp Honda pressure washer to it at work yesterday :thumb:

If you're going back any time soon, I need the short (6" or so) threaded metal rods that lock/unlock the rear doors on a burb or 3+3. The part that sticks up through the door panel and the little black plastic knobs screw onto. Both sides. Should have a 90* bend and a little plastic clip on the other end. A PO must have "child proofed" the rear doors on my burb by removing and tossing them.

And if you're not going any time soon, that's OK. Kudos to you for helping out fellow CK5ers.

I could use a clutch pedal, the actual pedal. the part that unbolts ,clutch master pushrod attaches to it, you know.

I could also use a 32 spline input to a 208.

to zip 86001 thanks.

Lookin for a dana 60... :D If you can find the right one, I'll come pull it! :D You said "little stuff"... that is little relative to a whole truck body, right?

I went to the pick a parts we have in houston any they aren't even worth going to they have very few trucks our body style and only 1 4wd I called a ton of junkyards after argueing with a few of them that said a 3/4 ton and 1 ton have the same front diff I gave up

Nothing I NEED right now but will keep you in mind.

I would say watch for rare factory or aftermarket stuff. Lots of stuff is sorta "retrocool" now. Also just hard to find. Those old factory roll bars can go for $150 in good shape. Roof racks, external spare tire carriers (even though they suck), brush guards, anything Hickey made, old desirable rims, and any old school aftermarket part is hard to find and lately seems to be somewhat desirable.
Remember those $100 Smittybilt plain nerfbars that Summit used to sell back in the 90's? Yeah, POOF gone and LMC wants nearly $500 for some crappy fancy ones now. They're the ONLY source.

Actually makes me bummed out to see all that old chevy iron getting scrapped.

Well if any one goes to a yard and can get me the drivers side sun visor clip (on inner edge) has one screw and holds up the visor. I would pay for time worth about $10 bucks for less than a min to unscrew. Plus I would pay postage. Would like a blue one but will take any color I can get.

ever since i found car-parts.com i dont venture to the yards much.. they all charge a walkin fee of $1-$3 to cover their insurance costs...

if you don't mind, I need the nut that holds the pitman arm on a 2wd box for my crossover. And obviously since it's damn near worthless (I assume), I'll getcha back for more than the shipping:thumb: Thanks

X-2! I will need the same kind of nut also. Glad Z71 brought that up. :waytogo:

i used a front dana 60 pinion nut.. double the thickness for more threads onto the shaft!!!!!!! :waytogo:

Hey Jeff its not really small but a manual trans steering column with tilt would be cool going in an 86, I think 84 to88 are sure to fit but any of em with the wiper control on the column would work

damn, the truck that the D60 came from is an '86 w/manual (not sure if it was tilt though)

I went back to that yard about 3 days after we pulled that 60 out and that truck was gone. There was another square body in its place though. Forget what it was, there is so many.
