When I redo the rear panels, I'm gonna cover it with the same gray, and use the billet pieces that you can get for the doors. This way, the rear passengers have the same visual as the one riding shotgun.

My interior is almost perfect, but I`d love to see ideas on moding it.

col....u want me to see what it would cost to truck ya a full 4x8 sheet of diamond plate...how thick you want it...metal, like everything else is cheap(er) around here

I appreciate the offer, but really I think wood is going to be easier to do what I want.

I got my billet dash / door pieces from LMC and installed them. I think they look outta place with my gray interior. So I was thinking of painting them gray to match. I think it will look a little more suttle, and stock appearing. What do you think?

Sorry, too cheap to buy a camera. I just think if they were gray, it would look less foreign. Also, the brushed aluminum looks tacky next to the chrome inside door handles.

what if you use wire brush and brush the billet w/swirls? alot of diff ways to dress billet...seems like a waste of $ to buy billet, then paint it

Good point there. I may paint them anyway. When i get my instrument cluster, I'll leave that as is since it is 99+ dollars.

The pics are a bit old, but I've started doing diamond plate aluminum in my interior.

Yeah, what they said:D:D:D:D

If I can hit 70% on this thing with over 100 votes, I'll submit it to His Royal Highness Steve. :D

58 votes for "Yes" as of this writing.... To me that's worthy of starting a new forum. Some other sites don't have that many active members in a day. CarolinaK5 is peaking at 75+ members online at one time, and slowly but surely getting bigger and better. Not as big as here, but there's a good bit of content over there.

Come on guys... Keep it going.

Trying to hit 70% for "yes" with 100 votes or more.

I put the 'nekkid' option in just to follow standard operating procedure, but let's push it up to 70%+ for YES!

Haha.

Just from this thread I've got an idea of what I'm going to replace the panels with in the barn doors on my Suburban.. the cardboard is crap for durability, but they are in good shape.. bet I could get a c note on e-ghey :haha:
