if it isn't a stock hubcap on a white rim, it's ghey...

You seem to have some sort of vendetta against black wheels, Martin. Did they do you some harm in the past? It doesn't make much sense to me... :dunno:

Haha. I don't like to talk about it.......

Yeah...I've figured that much out. :haha:

I'll prolly have Martin-approved hub caps someday, as I do think they look neat. But for now I'm just puzzled why that is his reaction to nearly everyone's truck...

Carry on with the build. Love the family shots.

Quad shock are for guys with chromed leaf springs :sign9:

Im running es9000 pro comp shock which have 14" of travel and They seem to do really well. I had to get ford shock towers to make use of the travel but there totally worth it. I think they were about $45 a piece through summit. Its a great starting point if you want to flex and use the leaf springs to there full potential.

Are you saying you can use the Ford towers and stock springs and 14" travel shocks?

Yeah it can be done. Just have to do some work to the towers, bolt em on the frame and you can run 14 inch shocks. I think theres a tech article on here about it.

Is there any rough estimate on safe usable travel with Ford towers 14" shocks and the stock springs? Or has anyone on here done this themself? And any recommendations if I were to start my front suspension upgrades here? I'm driving a 77' GMC Jimmy

Why is that Martin ? I'm not asking to be a smart ass I'm asking because I really have no clue Kenny was telling me same thing ... Shop looked at it and said it had the quad shock setup up front ? If I know why I should only go with the 2 longer up front I can better explain to them thanks
What it comes down to is todays shocks are simply soooooooo much better than they were when our rigs were new.
