another nameless, faceless entity with a passion for 8 mpgs. this is my 3rd K5 first being a 73 then an 83 and now back to another 73. i stray inbetween the K5 to other DD's but always come full circle to the Blazer. Finally got my FullVert 73 again and swear to stay with it this time (as i'm gonna dump and untold fortune into getting it the way i want it) names Reed, i'm 32. found the sight years ago, but i lived in AZ so i natural had to join AZK5.com now i'm in NY so this is a close as i'm gonna get  great to be here. 14 bolt rear, Dana60, front 305, 350T, 205Tcase.... one hell of a foundation to build a monster rig from.

newbie from florida

hey yaw, my name is jason from fernandina florida i have a 86 k5 that loves attention! lol.. i have been a member on chevyk5 for some time but wanted to venture out. a little about my truck, its a 86 with 4inch lift, 383 built by me of course, 15x10 mt with 33inch baja claws. havent really done to much to it since i bought about a year or so ago except the new motor. looking to get a new paint job soon and hopefully making some rear panels since the old ones are torn and nasty. i'll post some pics so you guys tell me what ya think.

Hello, trying my first attempt at a "build", so right now its a "Tear Down". If i get it put back together the its a "Build". I have a 76 K5 some rust but very well kept. Any advice will be appreciated. Just looking for somewhere to post the progress, so i will get it done.

Welcome!

Start a thread in the "driveway" build thread section located in the garage section of this forum. Plenty of good people here for advice and motivation.

Hey folks!

i drop in now and again for the awesome help!

My 91 K5 is my joy! 6.2, stock suspension, softtop, lined interior, new 31 BFGs, tryin to make super clean, de-rusted fenders battery trays, engine compartment, undercoated, stainless hardware where possible, etc!

i appreciate all the knowledge, unfortunately, I am no high tech wrench, but did recently replace fuel filter, shocks, belts, hoses, etc.

Hey, my name is Greg. Born and raised in KS. Mainly the Topeka area. I've been building and driving trail trucks since I was old enough to drive. Grew up around cars/trucks my whole life. My dad is an awesome body man, and can paint or fix anything. I've gone through a hand full of trucks, but have always wanted a K5 blazer/jimmy. I started out with and S10 that I eventually put on an 85 K5 blazer frame and some 36in Iroks. I still have that truck and plan on turning it into a crawler/truggy. I more resently bought an 86 Jimmy from a guy for $300. The jimmy is rust free and from AZ. I've since done quite a few mods to the truck, but obviously that will never stop or slow down. If you want anymore info, hit me up on my profile or message me. Thanks.

Hi, name's Caleb, live in Celina, Tx, I just got my first K5, a '74 Cheyenne 350/350 with NP203, doing rust repair and bodywork now, when I'm not prowling around on here.

hello I'm just new here. I can see that there are many things to learn here in this forum, I will also contribute to the fullest :)

rejoining the group

Hey all,

I was a member of CK5 4 or 5 years ago and the old K5 took a back seat to my travelling for work. Now I've regained my free time by getting an offshore job working 21 days on then I get 21 days off. So this leaves me with plenty of time to get the K5 back up and in another phase of the build.
Originally I bought my '79 K5 back in 2003 or so in Abilene, TX. Since then she's been transplanted to around Springfield, IL. After being parked under a tree behind my dad's shop for about 5 years I'm ready to get back to it.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone has been doing and the new toys and ideas that have came out in the last couple years.

Cheers,
Joe

My name is Trey, and I am from Baltimore. I just picked up a '79 K5 in pretty good shape. 350 TH350 and NP203. Part time 4wd kit on it, and both a hard top and soft top. Currently has 33's, and I don't plan on them getting much bigger. Not that much off roading to do around here that I know of, mostly just a camp or hunting vehicle.
