Welcome aboard. :D

Hey whats up all. Don't Have a Blazer, Suburban, or truck. But want one so joined this forum to read up. And maybe even find a 73-87 Blazer or Longwheel Base 4X4 Truck.

hey i have a 1967 chevy k20 pickup

hi my name is steven and i have a awesome 1967 k20 longbed pickup. It has a 454 and an sm465? (GM fourspeed)and an np205 transfer case. i bought it as is and i got a killer deal on it i love to go off roading my my friends and getting my truck extremly muddy. i have only done that once. my life goal is to four link my truck front and rear with coil overs, put and engine cage and frame up the bed to accomadate the coilovers and to have custom fiberglass fenders front and rear to be made to match the style of my truck and be large enough to fit the tires i will be using. all of this is just a bunch of crazy thoughts my head so far and i dont have any plans to start any of the work, becuase i am still young and i dont have the money. in many years i am going to race a baja 500 or a 250 mile race for fun in my truck. i have had some crazy dreams on how my truck would look and it would definetly be one of a kind. for now i want to lift my truck 2 more inched and put 35 inch tires on it. i love driving my truck but it goes so damn slow with 4.56 gears i cant really drive anywhere on the freeway. with the help of these forums i would like to make my truck more versitle and off road friendly. thank you

CK5 virgin

Well I just registered with CK5 cool site so far, ok about my rig(rigs) I currently have a 86 K5 with a 4 inch and 32"s ok it needs 35"s thats next along with better bumpers, I have seen somewhere a rear bumper that has a swingaway tire mount any help locating this will be greatly appreciated. Now my other rig is a 82 K10 with 6inch suspension 3inch body and 39.5s I'm in the process of paint prep on this one. looking forward to lots of input from everyone.

helo all, im new to the forum and im excited to see all the info that is being exchanged....i do have a problem my self. im buildin a new truck and want to run a divorce mount 205, but i dont have a shifter for it....ive seen the 2 stick shifter that i can buy, but it looks like they only make them for married mounted t cases.... what can i do?

Geez, you guys make me feel like a grandpa!. I got the 4 wheeling bug in 1987 and have seen lots of changes in the industry. I have averaged about 3 vehicles/year since then. I am not loyal to any particular brand. I currently own a 77 Blazer that has been modified pretty heavily and a Suzuki LJ20 that is in a buildup phase. I currently work overseas as a mining engineer in Indonesia. The property is jungle and we have several thousand Toyota Landcruiser, diesel troop carriers for daily drivers. What I miss most in the states is being able to jump in my truck and go wheeling. On my last job in Utah, every day on the way home from work, I would pass a site where UROC held an annual event. I could pull off the road without slowing down, charge up a sand dune and hit the rocks at the top. Good way to leave the stress of the day behind and arrive home sane, with a smile for the family. Wheeling is a great hobby. I noticed that most people that enjoy the hobby are a cut above. The mechanical arts are not for duds. I appreciate being in such respectable company. I hope to meet some of you on the trail sometime.

Greetings from Arizona

....hopefully the home of rust-free rides. Proud owner of a 1972 K5, ....mostly original 350/350 NP205 (rebuilt) all. Still have the factory hash marks on the firewall and the (still working) AC compressor-and still blows cold. Non-original 350 mouse was replaced by a previous owner - and again by me - Rare complete intruments incuding the tach and even the vacuum gauge. This truck has been my daily driver for 9 years and goes strong. unfortunately, I don't get to take her off road as much as I would like, although when I have, I have discovered her "climb like a goat" abilities. I had a BesTop for a while on it, but the Arizona sun had its way with that and it finally became a problem, so the hard top went back on (for now) The dang thing leaks with either one so who cares! My first truck was a 72 C10 in high school and I never got over them..classic design and a bit of nostaglia in a relatively modern package, that I can wheel when I want. Anyway, the name is Alex, and a 43 year old banker having a great time in the southwest with an awesome truck....that of course ....still needs some work....older pic without the rollbar

goin to the cinders

We are talking about going on sunday afternoon, to the cinderhills on north hwy 89, probably around 2 or 3 at the latest.

Not sure if I will have to work ? I will see if I can get out there though ! Thanks for the info. The area you are going, how difficult is it to get around in ?

Hello! Refferred from dontoe!

Hello to the admins! I'm the boy who was mentioned to you all by dontoe!

cinders

Not difficult, some good hillclimbs, holes, rocks, lots of flat cinder meadows. Great place to show off horsepower. I have not been there in my truck before, only on dirt bikes. Want to look for some rock crawling spots. If you can make it, give me a call 606-6997 (cell)

Electrical ??

the problem I'm having with my 1997 Suburban is as soon as I turn on headlight switch the # 9 fuse blows which operates the tail light and instrument panel. I disconnected the taillight assembly's right and left and also instrument panel and replaced headlight switch and the fuse still blows. Please advise and any help is greatly appreciated. Steven

Ok Mtnman I'll give you a call if I can make it. Are you from Flag, or a long time resident ? Saw from your profile we are near the same age.
