New to Forum

I drive a dodge, but got a few chevy parts on it. I am in the process of installing ORD crossover on the front 60 and install a rear 14 bolt.

Long time, no see

Sorry guys, haven't been here in awhile had another battle with cancer and then had my ride stolen, after I had just put in new trans, flexplate, 241c with sye, new rims, and 38" super swampers.

Sorry to hear about your heath, how are you doing know?

I am sure the truck will turn up, any leads as to wear it could be?

Hello!

Kevin Knight from North Pole, AK. I was on this site years ago, just signed back up. I have a 77 Blazer that I started with in stock form with a snow plow that has gone through several stages.

Currently it has a rebuilt 350, swapped the auto for an SM465 manual trans with a 205.
Front axle is a Dana 60 with a lock right, 4.88 gears, and home fabbed diff guard.
Rear axle is a Corp 14 bolt with a Detroit and 4.88's
6" rough Country lift springs and a 2 inch body lift fit 39.5x18 Boggers.
I built my own bumpers and winch mount.
Winch is a 12K MileMarker, slow but reliable.
Crossover steering and a PS cooler have been added.
I normally carry a ready welder and a CO2 tank along with my other trail tools.
And every dent was put there by me! :D

I have done all the work myself, bought lots of tools along the way, and just opened my own part time shop. I enjoy gear installs and engine rebuilds the most I'll leave the electronics to someone else!
I'll see if I can link a pic or two.

I am also the VP of our local club, Arctic Offroad. There are many pics of my rig on our web site: www.arcticoffroad.com as well as some threads on different builds in the vendor section under Knight's Truck Farm. There is a detailed write up of my front bumper build there. Not trying to vend or advertise here - just thought someone might want to take a peak. I'm too busy as it is!

Hey, I'm John.

I live in Texas. w00t! I don't have a K5 or anything even partially resembling a chevy product. I do however, work on my buddy's 83 K5 when he has parts to put on/take off. I know a fair amount about engines and the components involved and i dont understand why people dont like to wrench on their own rigs...

anyways, ive been registered on here for a couple of weeks maybe a month and have been surfing around, but not posting. y'all seem to have some pretty freaking awesome rigs.

grettings from Pennsylvania!

Hello

Hey Everyone. Just a wheeling and blazer enthusiast happy to be around some like minded individuals. Pretty decent shade tree mechanic with a few years on the trails here in az, so if ya need any help i'll try, and i know i'll be needing some at one point or another:D . Anyhoo got an 89 k5 w/4" lift and 33" All Terrains. That's about it for now except everything actually works on it...for now.

Hi all... my name is Scott and I live near Detroit, MI. I dig wrenchin' on my 90 V2500 Burb and my 86 blazer before that. The burb has about 5 inches of suspension lift (zero rates, front springs, rear shackle flip), sits on 35s, and I got if from California, so it's not rotten like all the other chevy's around here:D. I'll keep in out of the salt, and keep wrenchin on it and takin' it offorad!

Just put in the SYE kit, waiting on rear driveshaft from HAD, and puttin' in headers and 1" body lift next. Then it's off to the Dunes!

Noob (well sorta) with my first post

Hello From the Saint Joseph Mo. area! I came on here as a guest a few years ago, & sold my '79 Blazer shortly after- so I havent been around. I've had several Blazers thru the years. I just bought what's left of a 1970? Blazer, so I pitched in the coins so i can post. This forum looks like a great place for ideas, help & such.

Here's what I have to start with. Another guy bought it a while back and brought it up from New Mexico. He decided not to build it, so I traded him a set of Swampers & some cash. What do ya think? I'm thinking trail rig with a '68 front clip, fix what little rust there is, and bedliner the floor. I'm not wanting a show truck, but I don't plan on beating it hard either. Just something practical, low maintenence yet not ashamed of to run around on the weekends with.

Hey, Im Jayston from Mac County MO. I bought my K-5 when i was 12 (yes 12, had half the money sitting in the bank from hay season and the other half in a jar at grandmas house) I just recently turned 16 and have driven it every day since then. And my pocket book really shows it. My family owns a farm and a feedstore in Noel. I work my ass off everyday just to pay for gas. My mom and dad have a jeep, its almost done after being in the garage for almost 2 years. I plan to make it look as small as a jeep agian with mine!

(yes thats a 73 blazer sitting back there. its a donor, lots of cancer)
So far my blazer is completely stock except for the stereo. I had two 12's in the back in a nice box my uncle built me. Ever since my top came off they've sat in my room. I miss my "thump", but love the open wind even more! I have a sm465/205 combo i jsut pulled today from my donor blazer. Itll be sitting behind mine about last of june. Hopefully my stroker be done way before that but gas is sucking the money faster than i can drag it in!

Hey out there, my name is John and I suck at computer usage, but I'll try. I've owned about four K5's plus a 94 3/4ton sub with the 6.5TD. Right now I own a 1988 Blazer with a 560hp 454, D60 w Lockrite, 14BoltFF with Lockrite 465, 205 on 38 TSL radials. It is off the road so I don't die on the road in it, Way too fast and I'm addicted to testing it. It actuall handles pretty gooed on the road and is quite impressive off road too. My DD is an 89 Blazer with 10bolts and 4.56 with an Auburn limited in the rear and Trac lock in the front. It has a stock 350 with the Jet 6-pack headers and dual exhaust. I just roasted the 700r4 and am waiting for a BTO stage 2 with HD TC. It's on 37" DCFCII's that drive allright on the road but will probably end up being a little too much for the 10 bolts. Hope to do some mild trail rides and camping with it, but that speed thing keeps getting in the way of having a nice truck for very long. Username UDY is my younger brother and he introduced me to this site. Happy to be a member. Talk to y'all later.

hey

hey guys! just thought id introduce myself to the CK5 crowd. shortly after my friend (lochenjons) bought his 77 blazer he started telling me to go register on CK5. i kept putting it off because i didnt have a truck. i had a 93 sierra but i never worked on that because it never needed anything. it just sat in the garage. but now I'm older and wiser and now that I just bought an 87 3/4 ton 4x4 suburban, i'm ready to join the community. already, ck5 has helped me out with every question I asked.

well thanks guys, and i'm here. and if anyone on the central coast of california wants to go wheeling, let me or lochenjons know.
