Introductions & Greetings

Hello fellow chevy folks. My name is Ronnie, I just bought a 70' K5,and would like to make it a part of the family. I'm a 38 yr old, lifetime circle tracker, looking to change things up a bit. So this whole experience of putting window's "IN" a ride is kinda diffrent for me! Looking foward to meeting new people, with new ideas and views. My parents bought a 79' K5 brand new, when I was a kid, and I've been a blazer fan ever since. All the resto tips I can get will be greatly appriciated, THANX in advance. Ronnie Tilley

Welcome, I can't wait to see some picks of that 70!

new guy from alabama

Hi fellas,
My name is Adam, and I live near Enterprise AL. I am an electrician on an offshore drilling rig, and am currently sitting two hundred miles off the coast of Texas. I have always been a lover of old iron, and I have a 1967 Chevelle that was my first car, and I still have it. I am currently searching for a cheap but solid 73-76 k5, and I will be sure to keep ya'll posted when I find one. Good to be here.

New to the K5 world. My brother just retired from the AF and returned to FL. with his 72 K5. I am hooked and now I need one.:doah:
I have been wheeling jeeps for several years but I like the "fullsize" of the K5.
If(when) I convince my wife that I need another project I will be looking to pick up a blazer. Don't really care about the year but would prefer the 1st gen.
Jeff

Hello!

Hi all. New to the site, referred here by a guy from over at the 1967-1972 Chevy truck site.

I currently own a 1972 PU, Belonged to my grandpa since it was new. It is a 2wd Long Bed with Air, Tilt Etc. Very Original, but motor is blown. It will be started as a build next spring. I am about 3 days away from owning an awesome 1972 K5. Keep finger crossed. I also run a 1985 CJ 7 5 inches of lift, locker, and more.

In my my time out of owrk, I hunt or am preparing to hunt. Had some awesome luck this year despite a shortened season due to new job and moving etc.

Look forward to learning and having some fun.

Newb here from Stoneville, NC, Names Terrance. I've been working on a 86 K5(10 bolts front and rear :eek1:, 350, 3 speed with granny low, around 5" of lift and 31's, but i do have some 36's just got to find some 16x10 wheels so i can put them on). It's been a great rig so far but still has plenty of work and mods left to do.

Hi Jake,

My name is Denny Densmore. I am originally from SC but now make my home in NH. Our two Blazers look virtually identical. Mine is a 1991 White Silverado with grey interior and 31 10.50 BFG AllTerrain tires.

The reverse gear just went out in mine and I'm hoping to replace the stock 700R4 tranny with something stronger, like maybe a 4L80E or a 4L85E. I also plan to replace the factory 10bolt axles with something stronger, not sure what yet. A 4" suspension lift is also on the docket with a set of 4.88 gears and some 35 12.5 15 AllTerrains.

Any experienced advice on these modifications is greatly appreciated.

I'm glad to be a mamber of CK5 and look forward to meeting you all...

Many thanks,
Denny

Hey guys. I'm a new member that has a stockpile of Michelin 325 85 r16 military mud tires in great shape. I'll post more information later when the forum allows me to do so... For now, my general interests include Hummers, Jeeps, and Broncos. Let me know if I can help you with these tires or anything else!

hi, '91 K5 on East coast...

Hello,
Just bought a '91 K5 that I am going to dump about 10,000 grand into and make it like new/high performance. I will post pics of it as it progresses. So I may be asking questions here, so thanks in advance.
Also I am looking to move out to the four corners area, so any advice on the area would be great also.
Thanks again,
Grego

Hey all, my name is Scott, I have a 73. Currently it has a 8" lift on 35/15.50/15's, but hopefully by the end of the year it's going to have 4" tough country ez rides up front with a 2.5" shackle flip with 6" shackles in the rear holding some chevy 63's.

Hey my names John and i recently bought an 83 chev 4x4 1500. its all stock except for a little spring lift. 350 4spd and also have an 84 for parts and came with a plow. i bought this truck to use it to plow this winter. i had a 90 plow truck but got tired of fixing it and wanted something a little simpler and heavier duty.

So, I have been looking at this website for a long time, finally decided to register and post, now that I just got another K5. I am in the military, currently stationed in Hawaii. I am on my second k5, had to get rid of the first one because of a blown engine and a tight budget. Now I finally have another one, an 89, 350 tbi, 4in lift with 33s. It needs a lot of work, but it is in pretty good shape for what I paid for it. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions! Thank you.

Hey everyone! My name is Tony. I live in Bend, Oregon, and recently found this web site. I have a 1988 K-5 and it's pretty much my full time hobby. I currently work as a maintenance tech with a large property management company, I am a volunteer EMT, and I am a former automotive electronics installer (building emergency vehicles). I am a huge fan already of DIY4X products, which I learned about on this site, and figure there is a lot I can learn about here. Maybe even some things I can share about. I would post pics of my truck, but the forum computer won't let me. I don't have enough "points," which I haven't figured out yet... but anyway, yeah... HI! :D
