Introductions & Greetings

Thanks enjoy hunting and camping and getting where phones and radios don't work. Finished my Blazer Chalet this year the way I wanted it to be.
Hey welcome aboard! I see you found some Chalet friends already on ck5, let us know if you need anything!

New member. Bout a 76 K5 a year ago and it's been the biggest pain in the butt trying to chance down problems. I'm ready to set it on fire.

As a professional nail bender I am far from a mechanic!! But this forum has helped me fix so many issues, there's an insane amount of knowledge here that I sure don't contribute to I just read and learn! Don't be afraid to ask questions, the people I have gotten to know here are beyond friendly and helpful.

Just head over to the garage forum and let us know what you are dealing with, someone will be able to help

Hey all, I’ve got a build thread for my K30 going on a few other forums, but this one seems to have a lot of knowledge and interesting things going on. I have a 1986 K30 Crew cab, over the next little while i’m going to be doing an engine swap, upgrading the interior and restoring it. I look forward to being a part of this community!

Hey everyone, long time lurker here. I figured it was about time to introduce my self.

My rig (TransPlant) has been through quite a few changes over the past few years.

'86 K5 350/700r4 mated to a 203/300 doubler, with 52"/64" leaf suspension sitting on a 44/9", with H1 wheels wrapped in 38" TSLs.

Just picked up an 87 Blazer 4x4. Has a lift, 35”, exhaust, and plenty of rust. I’m doing a complete frame off resto w/engine swap. Here to pick the brains of folks who know all the intricacies of these vehicles. Out of Houston btw...

Welcome and there are a few out of Houston here

Hello everyone..... I’m back after a long break, so I thought I’d re-introduce myself.

several years back I had an 88’ K5 that I loved and y’all helped a ton with helping me build that rig right. Unfortunately, as family grew and our circumstances changed, I ended up selling it and slowly faded away from the CK5 group.

However, after adding one more child to our family and moving up to to the maintains at 8,500’ elevation... I have me a square body again; just a little bigger.

I recently picked up an 85’ Burb with a bunch done to it already. Now I am going to keep tinkering with it and make another family wheeling rig... just a little bit more tame than my last rig.

It has a mildly built 350, locked rear, winch, lift, 35’s, sway bar disconnects, swing out tire carrier, old school auxiliary lights, and a few other do-dads. I’ll be checking in more often now that I can participate again.
Now I just need to figure out how to attach pictures again

Brian, Welcome back

There's still a fair contingent of the west slope guys still around, even if they are not active. Most of them still hit the Blazer Bash event each year

Software has changed a bunch if you've been gone too long. Use the "upload file or photo" button below the post
If that doesn't help, there are a few threads here about picture posting, we'll help ya muddle through

Well, upgrading membership made things a bit easier.

Here’s a few pics of the family wheeling rig.
