This one was working when I pulled it. Just needs some leaks fixed. Maybe a gasket or two.

In my defense the 4.3 I'm tossing in there does make more power then the stock 350 tbi... and the motor and Trans I pulled out with it are junk
It is a direct port 4.3 from a 2000The LT based DI 4.3 used in the newer full size trucks would be a interesting idea in an older truck. Better power than a tbi350 and then some.
But if that’s what you got to work with go with it.
Welcome!
It was around 2003 gm ditched the poppet valve with the central mounted injectors with actual port mounted injectors. To wring out every last drop of power you want to make sure you have the upgraded setup in yours. The poppet valves are prone leaking which will cause performance and misfires in addition to hard starting. It is a direct port 4.3 from a 2000
Total bolt in. No change to the intake at all.Appreciate the advice, I planned on resealing and inspecting most of the engine and Trans, now my question is can you is the new style injectors and fuel rail on the 2000 or would I need to source a newer intake?
Would that work on my 1997 4.3?Total bolt in. No change to the intake at all.

There is a true separate injector/fuel rail type setup for the 4.3 that came on the Marine version, but it would be multiple changes at once to deal with. This setup plugs right in and the fuel lines go right back where they are supposed to.
