Is this a REAL 1 ton?

I noticed the first link you posted has the VIN listed as a 2wd 1/2 ton truck. :doah:

no, its a 1/2 ton 4x4, as stated before, if it says "K1" in the VIN its a 1/2 ton 4x4. if it were a "C1", then you would be correct.

It's a clusterfsck truck assembled as a bunch of random pieces. He'd been better off not putting it on ebay or at least parting it out.

I hate wire looms (especially purdy colored ones) on brakes lines and hoses. Someone with too much time and too much money. If You were going to do that, at least make them black.

Yeah, I know. For what they have into wire loom they could've bought all stainless tube and a good stainless tube flaring tool and had the ultimate in blingety bling bling.

Instead, they cracker-ize them with wire loom.

:eek1: OMG!!! :eek1:

The reserve has been met! Its currently at $10,000!!! :doah:

I feel bad for whoever buys this and figures out the cluster****. :doah: :(

46.2-1063

Just a bit of info. The bumper height on a passenger vehicle in virginia is 22 inches. A pickup truck or panel truck is not consiedered a passenger vehicle as far as this code section goes even if it is not registered with Truck tags. However it says that any vehicle "registered as a truck" must have it bumper height within the limits specified in 46.2-1063 for its gross wieght rating and you must go by the manufacturers weight rating, NOT the DMV's.
I have a 1/2 ton 2wd 70 chevt pick up with 1970 virginiia truck tags. In order to display these tags on my truck, the DMV made me up the gross weigt on the vehicle to 10,000 and pay a higher fee. That is where people make their mistake. They think that because the DMV upped the gross weight it is ok, but they go by the manufacturers rating. I know there is a lot of confusion on this subject depending on who you talk to. It seems every cop any of my friends have talked to all say something different. I work part time as a police officer myself and I looked it up so I knew how I stood legally on my own suburban. Here is a link to the code section if you would like to read it for yourself. Just thought this info would be helpful to anyone in VA. :burb: :usaflag: http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+46.2-1063
