Craig, do you have the original door sills? can you show me what they look like? I am particularly interested in the rear portion wher it curves upward to meet the front carpet sill of the bed.

OK...now for the new gas cap painting:

So we wait until tomorrow to put it on the Blazer...takes a lot of force to twist a new cap on and the paint is too soft right now

I don't think I've ever seen such attention to detail on a gas cap. In fact, I know I haven't. Well done. If I was to give in to my anal retentive side and build a Blazer like that...it would take me 30 years.

AFTER ALL THAT.......I think I like my original gas cap best....

you guys like the white one better?

maybe I'll run it..it's not an exact match to the white stripe but I am not sure it would be anyway.

Craig, you can get one local at the parts store for $7 and plasti-dip and see if it disappears into the white or if it still looks slightly different..

that a great pic Craig!

My back seat is at the upholsterer now...how is the ride in the back seat? Is your head above the windshield? I often wondered

I haven't really checked that. But the backseat is obviously very high. High enough that I don't want to put my daughter's car seat back there. Driving her around back there would make me too nervous.

heck that many you need a premo condition burb next . :D
LOL none of them in the Blazer are my kids. Only nieces, nephews, and cousins. My only child is my daughter in the hi-chair off to the right.

Don't mean to but in. Someone asked about k5's in original color. Here is mine in the Glenwood Green. It was restored in '89 but only went 6k miles since then. It is a Cheyenne but the trim was never installed after the resto was done. Didn't want any rust to return. It was one owner until last year.

Maybe it's just the lighting, but I thought Glenwood green was a little lighter than that? It's non-metallic, right?

Good eye USSkoval. It is lighter than the pic makes it look although the original brochure and some old pics that I have of the truck seem darker. As for the wheels they are retro but they are aluminum. My uncle put them on in the mid to late 70's. I believe they're ansens. I'd have to check the receipts to be sure. I still have the original wheels, tires and hubcaps too. Same ones they show on the blue truck on the front cover of the '73 brochure.

Nice Rigs man !! That green and white is my favourite that gm put out :waytogo:.

Do any of you guys have a pic of the brass bushings/shims that go between the doors and the door jam to prevent the doors from rubbing during flex?
I have a 75 and don't know the exact position to put them.

Thanks
