Comp cut? I have fender trimming on the brain after recently acquiring a sawzall.

This is what I want. They stretch both sides of the lower wheel wells by 2.5". They claim you can clear 40s.

Would you be doing the just the cut or adding flares also? Seems dangerous to be adding room for 40's. Could actually lead to 40's and not the cheap kind ether.

No. I plan on staying with 37s. But with those rear fenders and the matching front ones, I could lower the suspension and still run 37s.

It's pretty bouncy with the short control arms at the angle they are with 4.5" springs. I would love to long arm it, but that's more $$ and I still won't have any body protection. So I will be killing 2 birds with the armor.

I just now got it. And it's hilarious!

finally got back going with the bumper. kinda need a tow point and the winch.

cut out a side plate.
copied that plate
drilled some holes.
copied the holes.

the cool thing is that the frame is mirrored. and im now using 7 bolts per side instead of 3

mocked up how I wanted it to fit. minus cutting the grill and facia out so it fits back further.

BUT

I didn't like how it fit. the winch wasn't high enough and if you can see all the "x" marks that needed removed from the universal plate for proper fit.

I wasn't going to spend that much time with a sawzall or cutoff wheel. my buddy has a plasma and said he would do it for free, but Im weird and didn't want to have him do it, or pay somebody to do it.

so, change of plans

I plopped the warn tj winch plate on there. it fits way better. I might even be able to just notch out the facia.

the winch sits way higher and I wont have to cut a bunch of material off the plate to make it fit
