Using a proven wheeling truck with another driving truck, plus more parts.
We left with this on the trailer about 5:30, stopped in Glenwood Springs for a burger (which took forever that night) , changed a flat on the trailer 40 miles away from home, and unloaded at 10:30 p.m.
I am not sure why the Cummins pick-ups were going so slow....

So my daughter started naming my trucks several years ago, and after a few weeks, this got named "Bruiser "!
It doesn't have a straight panel on it, and it's black and blue!
It has a 350 which is built very nicely! TBI and a performer cam and intake. Sm465 / 205, with 4:56 gears. D60 front with ARB, 14 rear / Detroit, crossover, hydro assist, good condition 37" MTRs.

Now keep in mind that since it has been goin' wheeling for years, I don't have too much to do to it, and I don't have the time or budget to do too much.
But I had a DIY4X razorback cover for a 14B sitting here waiting, but it needed some serious trimming to go on this one!

I told the previous owner that @500$k5 had shown me some of his wiring skills over the years and I would change a few things. So Pat built me an Iceberg case CS130.

But since it had factory '72 brackets on it, it took a little work to install the serpentine pulley alternator.
I already had the bracket setup here, the PSC pump on the K5 has a press style shaft, so I needed to do some work! I drilled the extra hole in the right cylinder head by laying on the radiator support, my ribs didn't like that. ..
Change the water pump, and then drill, tap a hole in the intake to install the ECM temp sender to move it from the T it was in. Now I have a valve on the coolant going to the heater to cool the interior a little. I had to cut some of the right serpentine bracket off since I didn't have one like my '95. That let me re-use the lower hose.

True story oddly enough, I bought this so as to not cut up the '77 Scottsdale I still have.
My previous wife made one good decision in begging me to buy something else to wheel
Nothing, literally, in the drivetrain worked right.
My original plan, as it was supposed to have 3.73 gears, was 33s, couple posis & lift, drive it.
Had to hold it to the floor in 3rd gear to go 45.
3.08 gears, jetted for sea level, 2* lead and 3 different heat range plugs.
Bought it the day after Thanksgiving 2002
Within a month, I pulled both axles, rear seat, grille, bumpers, and sold them.
Did a valve job in the garage, replaced the cam and intake. and looked for axles
Got a D44 from Toby Irwin (Moneypit), with Warn shafts and an ARB. Smoking deal. One and the same axle Toby said Steve Fox once owned.
Pulled the 14bff from another guys Blazer who is no longer on the board, Brian (87blackK5)
37s new on 15 wheels
Did all the stuff to make that work.
Which included cutting 2 trash cans worth of metal

I needed some stretch in the upper hose that I had laying around, so I found a leftover piece of aluminum tube, and made a set of old vice grips into a beading tool, this is what I came up with.
I will attest to the fact that it will run over 70 with NO problem now!
A side project was the front markers. My son's '72 was purchased new by my dad, so I have looked at them horizontal for decades. My wife even commented on them. So now they are like this
So for one weekend, my messy garage looked like this while I did the serpentine conversion. It not often that the wife's Acadia sits out! Bruiser got to sleep inside for one night!
I replaced the charge wiring and also found that the main power to the cab was just about to fall apart! I think that it had been shook lose from a previous encounter pulling a CJ7!
So I found a D60 razorback cover for it! Thanks @mrk5 ! But my finger is too small too fit in the 3/8 pipe bung that they come with, so it now has a 3/4" pipe bung! And a fresh blast/ paint job!
