Jolene - 1965 Chevy Impala Cruiser

We picked this up a couple days ago for my wife's new hotrod and cruiser.
Paint and body work was professionaly completed 10 years ago then pushed into storage when the owner went through a divorce. The body is straight and rust free as well.
350 V8 was rebuilt and not yet broken in at that time and the TH350 was supposed to be fairly fresh at that time as well. That owner sold it to a buddy that was a car guy that started putting it back together and got it back on the road. When his business started slowing down, he was forced to list it for sale and we were lucky to find it.
It will need some interior work, finish installing trim, an upgrade to dual reservoir and disc brakes, new suspension bushings, and a new exhaust behind the headers to start with.

Nice! ‘65 Impalas are a very underrated. Though I’m biased with my Dad still owning the one he ordered in late ‘65.
They sold over one million of them that year. Highest ever up to that point if I remember right.

Incorrect, 165 (L6) or 166 (V8) is a true SS for the Impala in 1965.
167 (L6) or 168 (V8) is a true SS for 1967.

We ran across a survivor SS 6 cylinder power glide ‘65 locally about a year ago. Missed out on picking it up.

Ah. Ok. I knew you could get other engine options with the SS. Thought the vin was the same number nomenclature from 65 and up.

The 1965 and 1966 Impala is my favorite chevy car. I think they are better looking than the 1970 Chevelle. The only thing in Chevy that would be better is a 1970 Stingray.
