JR's 91 K5 Modern meets Classic (NV4500 help needed)

After I get all the body mounts figured out and tightened down I'm going to start on my electrical system. I don't have any problems with wiring so it'll be easy.
I'm going to ditch the factory style bulk head connector for favor of two of these. One will run all the body electrical and the other will run the drive train.

This is what I'm building my blazer for. Well when it's not pulling DD duty. 18 feet is more than enough and they usually only have a 250-300lb tongue weight on these smaller ones. Plus I think a K5 will be able to handle a camper of this size on the road with no issues

You'll be fine, that's a nice little camper. As far as pics go, if you use tapatalk it's a little easier. Just make sure you put spaces between the code so they don't run into each other.

Best to watch the view count if you think people aren't watching. Once in the middle of my ls swap I had a night where it got zero replies, but over 500 views. People are always interested in what we are all doing, but sometimes just don't reply.

Yeah they're pretty spacious inside too. I think it'll be worth the money.

Yeah I see people checking it, guess I'll have to keep it interesting.

And my phones so jacked up right now you guys are going to have to deal with one pic per post until I get it figured out.

You know come to think of it, I think I'll reroute all my fuel tank, tail lights and trailer wiring through the interior of the K5. I've never seen any wires on the frame look in very good shape and it'd be a lot easier to route up top. Just need to get a grommet for the fuel tank connector and maybe the tail lights if I need to go through the side panels.

And this is pretty much the story for any body in the rust belt when it comes to body mounts.

I wish the supplier would throw some templates in the box so I don't drill to many holes in the floor lol

Previous owner "correctly installed" floor pans caused this mess

I guess this guy thinks all floor pans are installed with Pop rivets and sub floor adhesive. The worst part is, I'm betting the floors weren't even that bad when he pulled this crap

Didn't get much done today, just installed my steering box and my drag link. Looks like I might need to file down the tie rod end on the steering box for a little extra clearance but that's about it. To be honest I like the high quality of all my parts but I thought my drag link would be a lot more level than it is. I was hoping for almost zero bump steer in my K5 but I guess with a lifted solid axle truck this is about as good as it gets.

Forgive me being super anal about my suspension, in a previous chapter of life all I did was set up the front suspension on dirt cars, late models and auto cross cars

For all those guys that say they drive a "cummins" and not say dodge or whatever year make model it is, this is for you guys

Got my front clip mocked up, for all these parts coming off three separate trucks, the body lines line up pretty close with very little effort
