JUMPPR's '75 Blazer-con build

So I've been tryin to get re-motivated to work on this thing again. I'm finally back to work after 2yrs of unemployment so I've got money to do stuff with again. Thankfully this job is a 630-300/Mon-Fri gig that will allow me to have some daylight hours to do all this work to it. This weekend I got busy getting some of my old parts out of my storage area and started cutting up the rust bucket that was the original truck. There wasn't much left of it, but it was where I was keeping my seats and the the hard top that I'm planning to use.

I'm definitely too old to be moving that top all by myself, but where there's a will (and some old camper jacks) there's a way!

I've been getting this thing cut down to smaller pieces so I can get rid of it finally. I've been fantasizing about using what's left of the tub to build a trailer so I saved the tub and enough frame to use if I ever get around to it. The wasp nest was inside the tailgate handle....could've been bad if they were still home!

Today I cut up my old trailer bed to get it ready for the newer ‘75 bed to go on. This trailer has been around for many years! The registration tag says 1959!! My dad, uncles and grandfather built it to pull behind their Jeep when they went hunting. Obviously the ‘59 bed is long gone.

Got my chassis wiring harness finally and I'm going to hopefully start stripping all the old stuff off and running the new wires. I bought the 16 circuit kit from Rebel Wire. So far it looks pretty well built.

The next major project is cutting the windshield frame and welding in the ‘75 so I can use my top. I’m also getting a Diy4x cage for the front.

Cut out the cracked stock crossmember this morning. Once I get all the new holes drilled I’m gonna get the ORD one powder coated 8C472CCB-D988-47CD-AB22-3B803082B5D0.jpeg

This truck was originally a ‘78 that they made a full ‘vert that never had a top on. They ran a custom cage and never used a top. I want to be able to use my original top. This is the B-pillar section. Can anyone give some advice on how to proceed? I think the 73-75’s are completely flat here but not this one.

I tossed a set of sides I could’ve/should’ve cut these areas out of but I didn’t.

That’s what I did with my 81 sides on my 74.
Cut the pieces off the old Qtrs. Didn’t quite get the front lip correct.
I’d like to graft back in the open gas cap, has the fuel door from the newer Qtrs.
