So I figured I'd just have to do some cutting and a little hammering to get that top edge flat with the rest of it.

JUMPPR's '75 Blazer-con build

I need it to be as close to correct as possible so I can use the stock hardtop to help locate the '75 window frame when I weld it to the newer cab.
Not bad for my 1st attempt at body work. Took me most of the weekend but I didn’t know what the hell I was doing so I was trying to take my time.
Grinder and paint make me the welder I ain’t.
Don’t need it to be pretty, just need it to be strong.
That remains to be seen, but for now it’ll get the job done.

Instead of buying Merricks brackets could I just cut the floor section out of a late model Tahoe and bolt in place with some grade 8+ carriage bolts? I want to use the rear seats from 05 Tahoe, but my kids are both tall and I’m worried that the brackets Merrick makes will put the seats up too high. I’m thinking I would also have to cut out parts of my original floor at the mounting locations since they sit below the floor level.

Or I was also thinking about these and just bolting directly to the floor or even counter sinking them like the they came in the Tahoe.
I used the above brackets, i could sit in the back with head room.
My kids won't be in the vehicle all the time so it's mostly for trails use. Did you feel like they were secure enough?
I put plates under the floor, so more than just washers. I trusted it.
Working on the driver side B-pillar tonight and found this. Wasps will build a nest anywhere!

Got my Diy4x shock mounts today. Any suggestion on where to mount the bump stops?
Today I finally started cutting the the ‘78 windshield frame off to replace with the ‘75. I used a few 1/4” steel rods to make a frame to help get the ‘75 header back to the right place. I also stuck some rebar in the A-pillars to give a little extra support.
I ran outta time tonight so I’ll finish welding it all together this week.
No windshield work this weekend but I did do this….
Windshield frame welded together. Gotta little bondo and paint left to do, but it’s starting to come together.
I’ve been working on fitting these seats today. I think the stock Tahoe mounting points will work just fine with a little work.
