Okay so i started getting some spare stuff together. Im bringing 2 sets of u joint straps i found for 14 bolts. Lots of hardware too.
I will post a map today that shows where you can get your last, food, beer ice and where the last cell reception is before we embark on our journey.
yep, that's the same crap you would have drove through a couple weeks ago. Remember the split lanes on I80 East after you went over the river?
I have a bunch of hardware too, need to mount my bed box this weekend and start organizing all of that.

The staging area on the Tahoe side is pretty nice, and I feel like it's just as secure there as it would be leaving it at the staging area on the Loon side. You can't just leave your tow rig at the camp ground, unless you buy your campsite for the duration of the trip I guess.
As stated, Tahoe is a bit pricey, but I think the bigger problem is going to be availability for a room at this point. It's a popular place!

Yeah from what ive seen its safe in either place unless you get off the beaten path by the loon spillway. Were going to use the boat ramp parking since its pretty big.
Skunked when are you planning on leaving friday? we could possibly meet on the drive up. I just picked up a spare fuel pump, ign module and coil, tres and an extra set of belts. Just replaced my spark plugs and will be changing the oil sunday. Greased everything as well. My boss Finally told me that I should be getting the weekend off as well!

sitting here in front of SummitRacing.com and thinking about getting a spare coil for my MSD distributor. Does that sound dumb? Grabbing a rotor are coil, no cap. Sh*ts like $100 for just those two.

Which distributor and coil? I Have a whole brand new system (6AL, distributor and coil) sitting on the bench so I could bring some spares if that helps? I carry a whole spare HEI system with me.
And no dog with me, mine is healing up from a perforated intestine surgery that happened seven days ago. He hates my truck anyway.

Poor dog! mustve been a rib that poked through? My dog hates my truck too but she has to deal with it. Lol my bear warning system.
We're not sure what caused it because he passed whatever it was. He doesn't normally eat sticks and odd stuff so it was an odd situation.

Skunked: it's an MSD HEI with the coil under the cap.
Different setup. I have a stock HEI coil and some other parts from my HEI in my tool box though.
I'm not sure. We were thinking about going and staying at browns valley with family thursday but I'm not sure if that would be worth the drive. Which way do you think would be fastest? I think it will be my girlfriend and I, no dogs with us. We will also have a friend coming with his toyota that has been through the trail 3 times... Its on 33s!
