been lots of storms going through the area so this is great news :D

still be prepared for rain, it can change quick in Tahoe.

Nice im looking forward to cooler weather. its been 100 here all day long.

Got my spare tire mounted! thats a little bit of pressure off of me. found some stuff to make a reservoir which ill be doing shortly. Put my hd diff cover on the front, which leaked a bit but I think its solid now. Im going to focus on getting the system bled and working, in hope of doing some test drives tomorrow. Damn heat makes me work slower.

anyone else bringing firewood?

I have some good wood ill bring. Maybe enough for both nights? im a little shy on kindling.

Im going to bring 2 qts of ps fluid, 5 qts atf, some oil and rtv. anyone have carb cleaner or something to get a bead on a blown tire?

I'll bring a nice stack of wood too, it's amazing how much we go through. I also have an axe so we can split wood for kindling

and I have a can of ether packed in case we need to set a tire back on it's bead :D

My impact will be the only power tool I have. Bunch of hand tools, spare parts, straps, tire plugs, come along, torch, fluids, fire extinguisher, compressor etc. My truck box is finally mounted correctly so I can start loading that up.

Ok awesome. I have jumper cables, straps, shackles, tree saver and ratchet straps. ill bring rod in case we need to weld. I need to get a first aid kit too.

is that Rubicon Springs campground area? Do you have to swim? Just considering equipment needed :D

No, you can hike around. It's not at Rubicon Springs. This is at Buck Island Lake, which is the half way point between Loon and the Tahoe side of the trail. I've never camped at Rubicon Springs because it's so close to the end of the trail. There's EXCELLENT swimming there though, with a rope swing and whatnot. The guy that oversees the camp is great, and has tools and a generator if you need to do something. Both times I've done the trail I had to spend my time repairing my truck instead of playing with everyone else in the water. :doah:

I think you're talking about rockbound lake. Heard the fishing is good there too.

Yes, that's right.

Hey colby I have a few questions about hydro stuff as ive run into some trouble. Ive got the ram setup perfectly centered and everything looks great except when turning to the passenger side I hit the diff cover. I know using a stop could potentially break something but if I kept an eye on turning to the right and I had the steering wheel marked I could squeeze through this trip until I can do some machining to fix it properly. Sound sane?

That's what I've got too, and they're conveniently located in Sacramento - so it should be real fast shipping to you. I've had some crappy customer service with them, so I'd suggest you stay on top of the order if you're on a time crunch - or figure out how to make a quick trip over to Sac to pick it up yourself.

I dont have time. im like .25" away from full lock on the passenger side. ill go get some grade 8 bolts for standoffs tomorrow. I really only need it for the one side. I just have to be careful steering to the right.

It's on his way up, or I can grab them if needed. They're about 5 minutes from my office.
