Well, Im always down to help out Scott. See you next year.
Having said that, my thought on the Trifecta is that we need a 6am departure time! Not a meet here at 8, then go there and air down time. An actual on the dirt by 6, not 6:01, DEPARTURE time! Scott, I am ABSOLUTELY willing to lead if anyone is willing to follow.
I just don't wanna loose the opportunity to run the whole thing! The other option is to have a "split" group, the loonies can run the whole way, those who don't desire that, can turn back @ The Crack... (Poetry.....) Problem with that would be needing a return trip leader leader

Hmm, you and Dan Mick both. He didn't like it when I used that term either....I don't think we need to give up on a Golden Spike run (btw, has anyone noticed that I don't like the 'Trifecta' label...?).
Sorry I couldn't resist.
Funny you mention that, there are some "behind the scenes" discussions of just such a thing. The big thing the get across to Moab newbies is the infamous "Moab bump".....Like a trail school kinda thing to learn how to be more efficient at taking the right line, when to throttle up, brake, etc. etc.

I like what Travis suggests for a 6AM Trifecta run. It's kind of a "hardcore" run in the fact that it's a long day on a challenging series of trails so it deserves a "hardcore" start time. Travis if you will lead it, I will offer it. I actually thought some about excluding the Trifecta this year but a lot of people posted up they were really looking forward to running it this year. It would be nice if we can figure out a way to do it. We can offer a 6AM Trifecta and then a regular start for something like Gold Bar with a run to the Crack and back; maybe call that the "Crack 'n' Back" run.
Michael alluded to the yearly trail selections. I have 2 goals each year. 1 goal is to offer something for all levels of truck/driver capabilities and the other is to try and offer different trails each year. The one exception being that we usually always have Pritchett and Hell's Revenge usually seems to make the list as well. Michael is always great with offering up some good choices for trails each year with all the experience he has in the area and I think we do pretty good at meeting the goals I have.

Even if that is a joke, I don't see it being appropriate. JMS was very civil in everything he said.Sorry, jms I am not perfect, one day we might be close to your standardsJ/K
