K10 Back-half Revamp! **posted wheelin' pics**

:dunno: wheres the dirt? :haha:

Did you get any wheel hop at all or try to make it wheel hop to see if its gunna need to be adressed?

Lookin great!

Out in the back part of my church's property there is a 20' wide by couple hundred feet long pit that is pretty much mud year round so I dropped into it a few times to see how it would do.
I hammered on it pretty good to see if it was going to have wheel-hop and I didn't feel or see anything... I'm still planning on a traction bar just to be on the safe side though.

I like it Avery! You've come a long way to say the least.:waytogo:

Was so gunna bash you with "what would an Amish yetti know about progress" Then I remembered how much joy you bring and would hate to run you off cuz we missed you on your little CK5 vacation. SO build me a chair you primitive ape!

HYJACK OFF sorry

Those are sweet mud flap mounts :D Mine are held on with bailing wire :doah::haha:

Frizz made them but since he swapped bodies he doesn't need them right now so he's letting me use them to keep me all street legal. :wink1:

What size tube are you guys gonna run out back, 1.75?

Well it might be your lucky day... we've been talking about it and I think I might sell my bed... being that I kicked my rear end out the only way to make the bed's wheelwells fit would be some cutting so I might just sell it and put that money towards some longbed fiberglass sides :D.
God i wish i could buy it. shipping would kill the deal and so would driving all that way. I'll just admire from here and kick myself in the nuts when i can't find a good one round here :doah:

BTW it's gonna be REALLY hard to keep your truck clean without a bed :D

so quick question on the shocks.. have they made a big difference in the trucks ride? What springs are on your truck? Just trying to decide if the more expensive shocks are worth it in the sense of making a softer ride to cure some back problems! thanks!

Thanks for the links!

I drove it without the shocks and the ride was ok but it was kind of bouncy... after putting the shocks on it firmed everything up and got rid of the bounce... it's a NICE ride though compared to the old 8" Superlift springs. I can't wait to see how it rides once I fix the front.
The springs are 57" long and come stock on 1/2 ton Ford pickups (not sure on the years but I know they ran them for a long time)... mine in particular are off of a '94 F150.
I got my shocks from a vendor on Pirate for relatively cheap.

Any F150 from 80-96 would have the same rear springs. Should make them easy to find.:o

Not really anything to update, I've been out of town and my internet was down when I got back so I've been out of the loop for a while...

That would be funny if your truck started growing veggies from that mud field you went through. Those mongs have some Green fingers.

I'm still picking stuff out from underneath it... I moved it out of the garage last night because my mom and sister made it back from Texas and needed somewhere to put her truck and there was all kinds of stuff that had dried up and fell off on the garage floor while we were gone.
No more mud for me! :)
