K10 Back-half Revamp! **posted wheelin' pics**

:eek1: TAKE IT BACK!!! :eek1:

Mud blows. It gets everywhere, causes rust, breaks things, and makes morons think they're hot **** (not speaking about anyone here...just all the locals with Thornturds and POS IFS trucks).

Then you live up to it.:D

You also have to put "CHEVROLET" across the top of your windshield.

Not yet... I've been looking around online but haven't nailed one down yet.

I was working on some small stuff yesterday afternoon before I went to school which included tightening up the power steering belt. Everything was good to go so I went inside to clean up and when I came back outside I had a huge puddle of power steering fluid under the truck.

Last night after class I set up the flood lights and pulled the pump/reservoir off and it looks like at some point it was damaged on the bottom side and was sealed back up with some sort of silicone.... so when I was in there prying it tight I broke the silicone loose.... so long story short I get to put a new one on this weekend. :)

Woohoo! Redneck fixes...gag...

Ever wish you had a "previous owner seeking" missile?

Rednecks fixes aren't so bad because rednecks are broke and get "creative" with their repairs. A dumbass who can't tell which side is the boxed end on a boxed end wench should never be around vehicles at all. By the repairs I've to do on my blazer, guess which kind of previous owner I had? Where is that missile?

I picked up a new reservoir/pump tonight after school so tomorrow after work I'll get it bolted up.

Eh, must have been the same guy who owned my Tracker before me. When they put the lift on they put the rear lower control arms upside down so that they bowed DOWN towards the ground instead of up away from stuff.:eek1: Luckily they figured out the error of their ways.
Then he or his mechanic also managed to fill the transfer case with ATF instead of gear oil. He then proceeded to drive it like that for 6 months thinking the rear end was slowly coming apart because of the funny drone he was hearing behind him. I got it, discovered this, and drained it and filled it with gear oil. Whalla, noise went away and the t-case survived just fine. A testament to stupid people and the durability of a Suzuki.
Then there was the fire hazard of a nightmare that was his amp and sub setup...:doah:
Don't get me started.

Avery I like the progress you have made with the truck. I know you are going to add tube to the truck, but have you (or anyone) welded to cross members to the frame to stiffen the frame like they did on the Trucks show with the Bronco?

The only thing I've done to stiffen the frame is an ORD frame brace up front... I have a 10 foot piece of 2"X4" 3/16" wall tubing that I'm going to weld between the frame-rails where the lights are right now to use as a rear bumper but other than that I'm counting on the tubing to stiffen things up.

You better hope that you don't want to change anything if you do that.
Don't blow anything up either.:eek1:
No weldo crossmembros to framo...................................my .2

how is it really different from the ones that are riveted in place? aside from being more rigid than the OEM ones who's rivits are loosening over time? i don't think he's referring to a trans/t-case crossmember. that'd be plain dumb.
