K10: Built HP60/241-205 Doubler/tons of tube

I was thinking about bending a piece of thin gauge aluminum in a C shape to slip over it. The cover like you're talking about reminds me of something I had on an old BMX type bike with the pad and a piece of canvas that snapped over it. Maybe could find something like that that would fit just right.

Thinking about it more, maybe I could do something with banner material and grommets and print something cool on it.

Avery I hope maybe you can put up a pic of how much light that setup puts out from the driver's seat. It's been my experience that LEDs seem super bright from real close, but the light they put out seems to get diffused after about 100' or so. In other words, they don't have the range of HIDs or even halogens. Of course, they're probably perfect for rockcrawling at night. Plus you have those other lights for seeing far off. I just want to see how much they light the scene up man.

Hey if you ever need a tax write off, you could donate your truck to me. Just saying... :haha:

That was my plan last night but I got tired of waiting for it to get really dark. I'll snap a picture some night but I can tell you when you turn the bar on you can hardly tell those procomp lights are even on. From what I understand the performance of these bars is all in the lenses.

I look forward to it. I know that LED technology has vastly improved over the last 8 years or so. I do think the reflector has a lot to do with it.

Hydro assist goodies are here.

I pulled the old pump off tonight and got the bracket and pulley swapped onto the new pump before I got distracted with some other stuff. I'm going to hit it hard tomorrow after work and try to get the bulk of it put on.

Also found some 1 3/4" split collars today at the industrial supply place I get stuff for the shop at. Picked up two of them for cheap to attach to the tube going behind the seats to keep the belts from sliding towards the center of the truck.

Started about 7:30 this morning and just came in but I got it done. Didn't really run into any snags per say it's just a lot to package in such a tight space and route nicely.

Picked up some field service stuff so I could make up my own hydraulic lines and I have enough left to carry in the trail box so if something happens to a line I can fix it with a couple wrenches.

It's pretty cool to be able to turn with a single finger sitting still while aired down on the cement.

We'll get it broken in and dirty next weekend on our next trip!

I don't suppose you can get a couple if close ups showing you mounted the reservoir

No, it's ugly. :)
Not really but it was just a quick mount I welded up out of 1/4" plate and some 1" square as a riser. I saved the clamp it came with so next winter when I cage out the front I can mount it on the engine cage.

The bottom of the reservoir has some 5/16" NC holes tapped in it so mine is sitting on the plate and bolted in place from underneath.

Ooo, purdy. Those blue lines look very nice.

Yeah they're really high quality lines. Rubber interior with a braided steel jacket with that fiber wrapped around it. They're abrasion resistant and designed for high ambient temp applications. The place I get all this type of stuff at sells it but it's pricey. Supposed to be about $9 a foot, he cut me a deal on 14 feet of it though.

$9 a foot isn't that crazy IMO for a quality hose like that. Heck rubber tranny line around here at least goes for 8 or 9 a foot... Wish I would have known that before I had the guy cut me 6' so I had extra after doing my cooler... Lol

I got my stainless braided trans lines for less than that. If you're paying that much for rubber find another source!
