Let the build begin in 5...4...3...2...

Snuffy, I'm selling my 3/4 ton axles if you want them. I just put them on Craigslist but I'll cut you a deal if you really want them.

That's funny because I just saw the ad before I logged on here. Why are you selling them guy? I wish I could buy them but we just had our 2nd daughter 10 days ago so my money is tied up for a bit.

But just out of curiosity, how much of a deal......

UPDATE!.....

I scrapped the idea of 3/4 ton axles because the amount of hardcore wheeling done in this is going to run in the negative so...

I just scored a used set of BFGoodrich 33x12.50's on 6 lug Mickey Thompson Classics for $225 with the lug nuts to go with them. :D

So now next payday I but upper/lower balljoints, rotors to replace the toasted ones I have and then I finally get to install my lift!!!! :woot:

By March, weather permitting, I will be cruising in my lifted Suburban.

So I picked up the tires a few days ago but I haven't gotten around to taking a pic of them until today. So, as promised...here they are.

Like I said, they aren't the greatest tires on the planet since they only have a few thousand miles left on them. But the biggest obstacle to installing my lift has been purchased and it's a starting point.......and they were only $225 for all 4 so they are what they are.

Ok, update again....

My wife and I got our taxes back a few days ago and she talked me into taking Fillmore to a shop to have the damn surging idle issue finally looked at and hopefully fixed. I've been dealing with it for 2 1/2 years and I'm tired of monkeying with it. She's also gave me the go-ahead to buy my extended brake lines and swaybar disconnect from ORD.

I have called my friends and called in all of my markers and it looks as if the weekend of the 23rd is going to be "lift installation day"!! I've got a few friends coming over to help and we should be able to pound it out in a day. I've got to buy new lug nuts for the wheels but I'm hoping to be cruising in my lifted suburban in just a couple of weeks....:woot:

Hell yeah!! my tax return will be paying off credit cards...

Ok, I have made many, many, many posts about how it's time to install my lift...blah blah blah...BUT........

...this weekend, it's on like Donkey Kong! I found a screw in one of my old 31" tires today and since I was planning on installing the lift on my vacation the first week of July anyway, I figured I'd bump it up a couple of weeks. I'll probably have a few loose items left to buy after the install so it won't likely be mobile, but at least the lift will finally be on the damn Suburban!

Pics to come.

The front is on!! And that b*stard kicked my arse start to finish. I still have to get the steering arm off, install the rear springs and roll the new rear 10 bolt under it, but its at least underway thank god. The only part that sucks is that's its hotter than a horny blonde in a forest fire outside. I've lost a couple of pounds sweating my butt off.

Well....I got VERY lucky today with the steering arm. I soaked the p!ss out of it with PB Blaster for the last 3 days and I went out today prepared for a battle.

Well...3 smacks with the hammer and the cone washers popped right out. I didn't even break much of a sweat. The Corona afterward tasted like.....victory.
