nice! someday I'll have to get an all-steel welding table of some kind I suppose. Not sure where I would fit it in my current garage though! lol!

Holy Crap Batman! I knew it was a mistake to click on this thread. :doah:Right know I only have a couple of those flimsy plastic sawhorse with a top thingys and that's it. I can't even use them for anything 'cause they are piled high with stuff. I have my bench grinder and bench-top drill press on the floor! :doah::doah: At least at the old house I had the old kitchen cabinets with a plywood top. Time to go buy lottery tickets again

Edit: I take some consolation in knowing I probly have the same parts washer as Ktmoutfront. HF Special?

Most of that stuff you see has been 20 years in the collection process. All of the steel for the table was left over from a set of racks I built for a guy. The top was a free piece from a buddy who could not use it.

The cool tool box was a gift last year from my ex-business partner, after I sold him my share of the company. I was stoked.

There sure is some nice work in this thread.
My benches arent the prettiest but I was payed to take them, thats "pretty" in my book. These benches (desks actually) are 1.25" thick x 6' wide x 30" deep. The shelves on top are from a friends now closed video store (free).

I bolted two metal file cabinets (payed to take as well) together and put another desk top on it for a small rolling work top with storage.

This wire metro rack on casters (yep, payed to take) is a great work surface/tool rack/misc.

These arent work benches but were also profitable for me to take and make GREAT tool storage.

These are old Costco purchases that work well in this corner. Actually they couldnt have fit any better.

The backlit drafting table is the shiznit. Many uses.
Sorry for the pic overload:doah:.
On a side note, the last time I was at the hospital I saw the same style desks next to a dumpster. Easy to find this kinda stuff for free or next to nothing. The desks are strong and I always put 185lbs of me right in the middle with no problem. Plenty strong. Now I just need to learn to organize better:crazy:.

I don't even have room for a decent work bench in my garage. :(

me too, i always have to ask my roommates if they are going to do laundry before i spread out on the washer/dryer top for a day or 2.....

I have to snap some new pictures... these are super old...

but I have craftsman cabinets and love them....

same as the bench.. craftsman...

What I have done in the past was get a solid wood door and put it on hinges and use it as a work bench. It is a great solution to limited space garages.:deal:

this thread has turned out purdy good... lots of cool pics and good ideas. I dig the drafting table. I wish I had room for one in the garage, but I really don't. I do have one in the house though. :thumb:

I use the garage as a shop/club house and so I've gotta wrench out in the driveway witch sits at a pretty good slope. It sucks.

The Table under the saw I made out of a bunch of 2x4 scrap from a framing project and then put them all together standing on edge and staggerd the joints, glued the $#)* out of it and then sank some lags through from the side. I put Breadboard ends out of some 2x6 and it's been going for about 8 years.

Stuff is pretty messy right now but you get the general idea of the actual "work bench"...

The blue one is one I threw together a couple days ago. I wanted a small, somewhat portable table that I could move around easily.

5/8" top, 3" square tube legs with leveling pads, all wired up with two receptacles.

The other table is one of a matching pair that I have. Each one weighs in at close to a ton.
