linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

Hope this is ok to post here, i like this forum a lot more than pirate.

I'm not a fan of pbb, and always felt this was a much more welcoming place to be. I really like the SAS Escalade project and will be following along. My K5 is pretty stock, and at the rate I work on it it's in no danger of being wheeled or driven anytime soon. That being said, if anything ever happens to it one day the odds of finding something newer are obviously much better...and you're build may provide plenty of ideas. In the meantime, it's still a lot of fun seeing something out of the ordinary.

As for the van, a pair of 76 mm Precision turbo's could push that brick to 10's. :D

Thanks for checking it out! As for the van, I think a turbonetics ball bearing 7875 should do the trick ;) I have a complete kit for my 99 Camaro, it's very tempting to test fit it on the van.

found a watson transmission in my grandpas junkyard, basically and under/overdrive unit, thinking about using this as a doubler sort of, make it divorced behind the transmission and then the tcase divorced behind that, would really help shorten up the rear drive shaft and make it about the same length as the rear links. Probably never need the low range in it after a cam and exhaust and tune, but oh well

I'm ready to see some progress.... Now I'm looking into SAS for my dmax... this really made me think about how much i like modern comforts when i go wheeling...

I've got an 03 Escalade kicking around to get similar treatment. Only mine will get a dmax stuffed into it as well.
im doing that too, but in my 90 crew cab one ton, i have no need for any more power in this than the cam and 150 shot its going to have.

I was going to swap everything into my k5, and then i thought, why? everything works. granted this wheelbase is probably going to be a little bit too long to perform as good as the k5 wouldve been

went to Kansas city and back (13 hours) the other day to pick up an 03 denali i bought on copart. now if i decide to stick with the 4l65e i have a spare, and an extra 6.0 to add to the collection. the Denali was burnt, and very very cheap. so thats what i pulled apart today. short block is fine, heads probably need cleaned up and new valve guide seals, but they are only 317s anyway.
