linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

Ok, planning on 4 linking the front of the escalade now. I think I have an idea of where everything is going to go. No pictures sorry. Did get the transfercase tonight though, should have some good updates and maybe rolling next week?!

That van is the sh!t. Reminds me of my old ride, looks slow, but really fast. I need get to my computer to get a picture of it, but I caught lots of folks dismissing it from the get go.

So... I have this spare escalade I was going to make the tow vehicle, but I don't think ya worth fixing. So then I was thinking about cutting the quarter off... but now I think I'm just gonna switch bodies. This one will come off easy. And it would make all my suspension work much easier to get to.

Threw one of my $139 winches and a cheap bumper on the blue jeep and the girlfriend has been driving it. sorry i didnt get the picture a little more to the left...

I got the body lifted up. i have no idea why i didnt do this a long time ago. everything is so easy to get to now. also glad i didnt weld the rear shock hoops solid to the frame, because the body would have been very hard to get off lol. The new body thats going on doesnt have the electric fan fuse box and wiring harness so i'll have to do a little swapping, also have to swap in the touchscreen stereo and the driver seat. but the rest is in just as good of shape.

Kind of a rough idea, just set the rear shock hoops up there, obviously they will be a little shorter. The lower link mounts will be mounted to the transmission crossmember, it will use part of the stock frame mounts but beefed up and then a more solid crossmember obviously. the top mounts will be just above the crossmember mount. should have those mocked up tomorrow and some flex shots.

isnt that about what every rock crawler and rock bouncer runs?
maybe, I really wouldn't know lol
normally all the trucks and jeeps run panhard bars, the rears are sometimes triangulated but normally "triangulated" 4 link? hahahaha
I have no idea
Looks like you're hugging the oil pan nicely though with those upper links

Not to pull this too far off track, but what's all involved with buying and picking up a vehicle off of Copart?

actually nothin really, make an account and then you can bid. you have to send a picture of your drivers license, and put up a 10% deposit of what youre going to bid or something i believe, we just pay $200 a year to not have to have a deposit and so we can bid on unlimited vehicles at once

the driver side top link has plenty of room, but with the motor off to the passenger side, that ones pretty close. might make that bumpstop a little lower.

Started working on strengthening the middle section of the frame and making mounts for skid plates. The front 4 holes will be for the lower link and transmission mount. the rear 3 will just be for maybe another skid plate or something, idk.

The front of the frame plate will be one side of the link mount, i already drilled a few holes and welded nuts on the back for a little bit of adjustability. but more than likely whatever one i use will be the ones it probably stays in lol
