I'm going to Colorado for the entire weekend. Just stop at the shop and take whatever you want. I have lot a to get rid of! A nice clean 91 crew cab and 86 blazer.

If you bring a nice low mile 6.0 with a 4l80 behind it, and leave it at my house, I'll buy dinner!

Where's that at? I'm going to need some Colorado friends.

Also I'm going to guess we have very different definitions of "low mile"

Well, I move out of CO, and you move in....not cool man :D

My parents still live in Parker, oldest brother still lives in Castle Rock, and my other brother (the one with the semi) now lives down in Penrose as he works at Ft. Carson in CO Springs for the time being. So I'm sure at least once a year we will make a trip to CO to say hi to family. Would like to plan it that I spend a full week there and tow my blazer with me and hit some trails at the same time. If I do that, I'll let you know

Here was the idea for the 6x6 escalade. I have a spare escalade body, several 14 bolts, a superduty front, a complete duramax donor pickup, and several breadvan frames. Wheelbase is right around 20.5 feet. Project might get out on hold for a couple years though. Lol.

I don't claim to be an artist. Don't judge me.

Dude! You totally need a door in the sleeper so you can sneak out the back & work under your truck while the ol-lady drives the hauler down the highway! Last minute thrash!

Cool stuff Dan. FYI, if you move to Colorado, you won't want to move back. Just sayin.

More build. Less drawing. Continue...

Idk... I won't like the big city. But maybe eventually we all find a place a little farther north of Denver.

Yes I need to get back to building..

Went on a trail ride yesterday called slaughterhouse gulch. Was pretty decent actually, a couple time a locker would've been helpful, I should probably install that.

Also found a spare body about 20 miles away. Same color as her current one, this was the jeep they used to build the prototype for the hard top in 2007. It's never been mounted or used. Unfortunately it's pretty beat up.

Not that I needed another project :rotfl:

Drove the 5 hours out to Denver this weekend, grabbed the girlfriend and her jeep and told her we were going on a road trip. We headed south to New Mexico to cross that state off our list. About 2 hours into the drive she randomly asked what a volcano looked like. So at about 9:30 the next morning we were standing in the middle of one.

We were planning on staying in the jeep but got a cheap motel. We decided we really needed to get started on our expedition trailer. But then a Facebook friend (who is on here I believe) posted this for sale...

CUCV ambulance. 1 tons, the powerful 6.2, 15,000 miles. So I have someone coming to get my crew cab this weekend and hopefully my blazer. And then might go pick this up.

I think something like this would be cool!

Also I haven't touched the escalade in 5 months. Just passed 1 year since I started on it last week.

Laid under the escalade to start working on the rear driveshaft carrier bearing mount. Taking a picture was about the most productive thing I did. Really need to get the axles out and rebuilt with the new gears and lockers so I can start on all the other stuff.

Got the front axle back out. Which was kind of a pain to get it raised high enough lol. Then got the gears and locker in. Changed my mind on the air locker and went with a Tru trac I had. Then started on the full hydro setup. Didn't really get far on that though.

Where I put the top links is right where the exhaust goes. Not really any place else I can go with it. So I decided the simplest fix would be to just put a turbo on it and do some sort of front exit exhaust. And that pushed my decision to finally commit to just 4l80 swapping it. I had a spare 6.0 pickup with a 4l80 and a 261(which is manual shift) but now I think I'm just going to use the 241 I have and swap it to a 32 spline input.

Yes. I get distracted easy.:1zhelp:

As for the turbo setup, I'll probably leave everything completely stock, other than valvesprings and injectors. And just tune it on like 6 or 7lbs. And probably a small turbo.
