linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

Nooo hahaha not for a long time.

My dad bought this today, thinking about buying it from him. The fiancé said maybe after it’s running and driving.

I already have rock crawler long arm brackets and my superdury axles with the swap trusses. I have doors and top and a windshield frame and 2 spare bodies for panels or whatever I need. I think I can easily sell the LJ for enough to completely pay for this and what id need to get it back together.

If it makes sense financially go for it but at some point you need to close your eyes and stop looking at squirrels

Hey if you are serious about unloading the LJ, let me know I've got a Jeep buddy itching for an LJ since his TJ is lacking space and wheelbase.

Saying this because I am feeling my 50 yrs today..
Spend more time playing with toys than building them!!! If you keep changing toys and then building, how often do you get to reap the rewards of the build?

I know I know... but I enjoy it. Would be nice to have something almost as capable as the Escalade but still driveable. Should’ve just built a Jeep to start with and been done? :D

I really enjoy the building part of projects too but since money isn't unlimited I am going more and more towards this way of thinking. I've wasted a lot of years and money chasing projects and not actually getting to go wheeling and enjoy it and being content with something I could just go out and have fun with and upgrade slowly.

It’s probably mostly because I don’t get to work on the Escalade being 5 hours away and spend way too much time online looking at wrecked vehicles and parts :haha:

I’m sure if I got the Escalade back together and had a reliable tow rig in Colorado. I would just go wheeling and not be trying to find something to build, I also might have a place to bring the Escalade out here and work on it soon, which should help.

My dad is buying a frame machine so maybe we will see how bad the white Jeep is after he gets it tore down. I wouldn’t even bother with it but it was very cheap and I’m confident I would be able to about break even selling the LJ.

I know you guys get sick of the back and forth here but it has to be slightly comical at least

The camper is super badass. Pops up to 27’ long, full bathroom and kitchen. Large bed. All hard sides. $900 on copart. :)

And it’s light, I think the LJ would pull it fine.

Did you ever get the Dmax back and figured out?

I got it back, I figured out why it was shutting off, just the low water sensor, but it’s also knocking, can’t tell if it’s fuel knock or the trans, or bottom end, still has normal duramax oil pressure. Could even be a broken crank, that was kind of common. But I don’t have time for it :( I wish I did, it’s such a killer setup.

Speaking of needing a tow rig. My buddy also shops on copart and picked this up today. 2015 duramax. Roof is damaged, bedsides have had some half ass body work, 214k miles. Deleted and tuned. He gave me the option to buy it from him for barely over what he paid... I kind of want it, it’s cheap.
