Just my wife, she's a teacher with the county school system. No pension for me, I'll work until I've saved enough to retire (never).
Is Area BFE still accepting donations and allowing people to camp?
Last time I went to Moab, I saw people camping free in the valley of Steel Bender trail.
Also people camped free at one of the junctions on the Behind the rocks trail.
Roughing it for a week would not be so bad if willing to drive into town for a shower and supplies?

They are doing work on the BFE facilities and I'm not sure when it's supposed to be done and open.
