LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Something came to mind.

Will a pump that claims 60 psi from the manufacturer, run 75 psi even?

The 2 lingenfelters at summit are a 60 psi 50 gph/190lph.
And a 90 psi 67/255.
Yes.
It's supposed to pump higher and the regulator is supposed to regulate it down
 
Flow and pressure are always related for any pump, just like an air compressor, which is why you need both numbers at the same operating point to be meaningful. At zero flow (dead-head), you get maximum pressure. With no restriction (zero pressure), you get maximum flow. So yeah, they are all capable of higher or lower pressure than rated.

That sucks. Because now I most likely have to drop the tank, and replace a perfectly good pump.. because I can't find out what I have.:doah:


If I keep it in, do all the upgrades, and just run it......

I'm sure there'd be a way to tell if it's starving at the top.
But how dangerous is that for the engine? Like going lean at 6500 rpm all the sudden.


I have a folder with all my receipts from the initial build. But it's MIA.
 
Never even thought of it. I put the model number and pics with it somewhere... So I've just been searching that stuff.

Time to dig deeper.

And it is the smaller pump. Damnit.
 
I decided to double check injectors, and in that process remembered, before I was even done calculating, that the injectors are what I was talking about to someone. It was figured that mine were good for nearly 700 hp.

That's where I confused myself.

I start on that jeep this Monday.
It's super clean, so everything should come right apart and go back together.
The only part that I think will take time and SUCK is doing 6 U-joints back to back :doah:
Once he has that back, the burb comes in and gets pulled apart.
 
Post the injectors you have along with fuel pump, hose size regulator and everything.

The low lph has me wanting you to do a 255 I always heard that’s the bare minimum for a ls
 
Already working on a 255 pump, and different regulator.

Currently.
Lingenfelter L710050607 190lph pump, 3/8 feed line, 5/16 return, AC Delco Corvette style filter/regulator (GF822), -6AN from regulator to rail. Stock TBSS rails, GM 50lb hr injectors (12613412).

Estimated power range after the new upgrades is probably 530-560 HP.
 
If I get time in the morning, I'm going to pull the sensor and put the analog gauge in just to verify it is getting 75 psi. If it really is, (I'm sure it is), I'm going to stop driving it.
No idea if those pressures can mess up my injectors. So I'll just wait.
Won't be real long before it comes apart anyway.

I've kind of wanted to take the tank out again anyway. Because I need to do a small frame notch and plasma the rivets out of the bump stop mounts.

This pump deal is now just the motivation I need lol.

From all I'm reading I may end up having to do 1/2" feed lines now anyway.

Plus, if I get a good regulator, I'm going to need a real filter.
I wish diesel filters worked for gas. I already have one and a box of filters for it lol.

At 60 psi you use 3/8' fuel lines for quite a bit of power, if you are sticking with pump gas, even on boost, it would probably be fine.

If you go E85 or race gas and more power then you may need bigger supply lines.
 
Why won’t a diesel filter work?
Really, I have no idea:dunno:
They're pretty much the same as an oil filter and oil systems have higher pressures than 60 psi. I just always figured it was sketchy with a spin on oil filter looking thing running 60 psi of gas.
