LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Repetition creates efficiency!
Now get that 8.1/4L80 from Isaam and put that LSX where it belongs…in the Cutlass!
Sold the Cutlass...

I do have a V8 monza coming this weekend though

Lol.

It REALLY needs a manual.
But I'm afraid dumping the clutch at 4500 rpm in this thing would turn most of a manuals innards into outereds...and maybe my legs into hamburger lol.

Just a lotta weight, and a lotta bite.

Best bet would be some cheap steel wheels and 29" tall 235s or something.:waytogo:
Crappy part is I just junked a full set of stockers with caps and rings I'd held onto for ever:doah:

I think it'd be a lot easier to break em free with like a 6l90, or even the dodge 8hp70.
Something with a lot lower first gear.
But with the monza coming..... I think I'll be able to get my burnout fix whenever needed lol.

That one's gonna be Chrissies car, and she wants to set it up for the drag strip.

I got antsy and took them off, before I modified the new ones. So now I need to get on the new ones so I can get them back on lol.
Also going to do some door hinge work while they're off too.

I want to put a set of these in.
The enudura pins are supposed to be the chit for these trucks.

My pin bushings were so bad it had eaten into the hinge. So new bushings just cracked and fell apart due to the oblong hole.
I drilled them out and just put normal bolts in the holes for now. Like 2 years ago lol.
With the endura pins, you can choose the bushing diameter, so I can drill my holes out to the right size for them.

So, I don't know if this was the way to do this .. it's technically the first major body work I've done unsupervised lol.
I wanted to make the lip, smaller, and less dangerous to my tires if they do hit.IMG_20251217_100151305.jpgIMG_20251217_100159166_MP.jpg
I figured to cut it on that silver line in the top pic.

I didn't want to try and but weld the 2 pieces back together after that... So I got some 1/2"x1/16" square tubing. Ground off opposing points.
Cut one side, and split it in two.IMG_20251217_122233004_HDR.jpgIMG_20251217_122133805_MP.jpgIMG_20251217_122143541_HDR.jpg

Then made a piece out of it to fit my cut part.IMG_20251217_125148759_MP.jpgIMG_20251217_125204262_MP.jpg

Tacked it in, and got ready to weldIMG_20251217_133851284_MP.jpgIMG_20251217_133905298_HDR.jpgIMG_20251217_133840069.jpg

Had to work on the floor cause it was too high on the tableIMG_20251217_134717126_HDR.jpg

Before primer and paint.IMG_20251217_163717561_HDR.jpg

After first round of primer. Zinc primer this round.
I'm going to let it sit all night, then sand and high build prime tomorrow.IMG_20251217_172024527_HDR.jpgIMG_20251217_172033220_HDR.jpgIMG_20251217_172031023_HDR.jpgIMG_20251217_172120235_MP.jpg

That aught to clear. Or at least not hurt anything if my tires rub.
I also plan to put the stiffer springs in, and cut to sit 1" higher than currently in the front.
Hopefully that'll keep the tires from eating fender.

Id REALLY like to figure out a good way to do this same thing to the rear fenders easier.
I know it's kill the burnout thing, but I'd LOVE to see it with like 305's under the azz lol.

Maybe I should do 2" shorter tires and swap (again) to 5.13's lol. That'd help :thumb: :haha:

I've placed a few orders with him before. Shipping can be a little slow, but good products otherwise. Was easy to deal with when I called him looking for parts he didn't list for an application I had.

Found what I needed on the site. But have to wait since I want both front doors and it's like $250 lol
