LSX454 swapped 95 BASS burb.

Little lower, little cooler, bigger sounds.
Lol. I'd already primed over the same holes in the middle of the afternoon.
Maybe all the little primed spots, got covered by little black paint spots .....? And it'l all blend in with the window tint..!:thumb:

:haha::rotfl:

I actually looked in there with a flashlight and it looks like maybe some light dusting.
I can probably take care of it with a magic eraser.:dunno:
We use one in the fish tank and the glass is still fine.

If the window already tinted? If not a razor blade will fix that dusting easy, I've done it, if it is then maybe just peel it and put new tint on it?

Figured, the shops been 70*, it's been a day and a half, MAW.

Literally about 30 seconds nds after the second coat. Didn't even sand it this time. IMG_20260421_105656534_HDR.jpg

Think I'm done using the Rust-Oleum professional enamel.

I should have just done body color, but figured for the goals of the truck and such, spray cans would be fine.
I've never had an issue with this paint before, but I usually always do a solid first coat or a second within minutes.
When I painted the doors I went over them twice the first time. But what I thought was good light, turned out to fool me in a few places.
So second coat in some areas was required.

Light in one hand and sprayer in the other from now on I guess.

Only appears to have happened where the paint would have been thicker maybe.

So maybe just needed another couple days.

I'm going to let it sit a few days. Sand it, and let it sit a couple more.
Then probably put them back on this weekend.

Been watching vids of the super chargers that I've been looking at. And the sound is killing me.
Don't think I can live with that.
It'd be muted some maybe under the hood, and not coming through tiny azz phone speakers..
But I don't know.
To be fair, both of these has cog belts, so maybe a different one with 8-10 rib serp would be quieter.

But if not, I may have to pick one of the other boost styles. I know they make high pitches too. But there's ways to mitigate those.... At least with turbo for sure.

Completely not even the n the spot I THOUGHT I accidentally sprayed lol..... :doah:
No idea how I missed that the other dayIMG_20260421_151722751.jpg

This is one of the videos I tried finding before.

And that isn't a cog belt.
I think the sound is cool.
Don't get me wrong there.
It just grates at my teeth almost. Like a dentist drill.

The procharger style may not be as bad...?
I have a guy I work with that has an F3 on his nova.
So I'm going to listen to his when I get a chance.

THis is the kit I finally settled on, if I do go twin screws and just deal with it.

Only issue with turbos is packaging.
I like the sound of a dual exhaust, which means twin turbos.
Then you have to figure out how to get the exhaust past the headers again back down between the frame where they should be, etc.

Seems like a LOT of messing around.
If I didn't care about where the exhaust came out, and where the waste gate dumped, etc.. it'd be easy.

If I went big single, and dealt with single exhaust sound, it's easier to package.
And I did look a LOT into that.

In a couple of holdners videos he showed turbo setups beating SC setups even down low at 3k.
If set up right.
Which with a 3500 stall would be perfect.

I run an equal length dual system on my single turbo tundra. It’s a single down pipe to a y. Not a true dual but still sounds killer.

I think a Procharger is going to whine even more. A roots style blower spins around the same speed as the engine, more or less depending on if you're overdriving or underdriving it. The screw types are spinning 2:1 or more via the belt drive, that's spinning up to 20,000RPM which is the whine. Prochargers are spinning like mad, they have a transmission that spins those things up to 70,000RPM. They're definitely going to whine.

I always liked the whine from my roots blowers. It was only noticeable at higher throttle and most of that was coming out of the intake. A closed-up airbox was pretty quiet.

Maybe you should hear some of this stuff in person before committing the $$. Or at least find good recordings and USE HEADPHONES. (I have a secret desire that smartphones are unable to play media through the speakers, but that's another conversation.)

The bottle is what I don't want to mess with.

I want the power all the time, any random time I hope in it, with out having to do anything but turn the key lol.
