M1008 Cucv Ls Swap Cadolet Build, long range Blazer Bash 2026 prep

Converting my M1008 from 6.2 Diesel to LQ9 power
I used those on my 1009 to help the passenger side sag. The two batteries + the soft Skyjacker springs make it lean that way. Also hooking the sway bar back up for street driving helped.
I'm gonna try these first on the drivers side and if I like it I'll leave it and. If not I'll swap springs to new ones.

With the difference you have, go straight to the springs.

I believe those rotate the pinion up, so the fat side of the shim faces the front of the truck. They are there to help the driveshaft angle, but you have a aftermarket front driveshaft, correct?

Fat side is at rear to point pinion up. But yeah he may not need them depending on pinion angles.

Not quite an update more of a disassemble update. I pulled my seat out of the truck so I can install the cable shifter for the 4l80 and np241. I pulled my front drive shaft and repainted it. Replaced my blinker switch but I can't get the plug to go back into the bracket at the bottom of my steering column. Waiting for bushings to show up for the leaf spring and I can get around to installing them next weekend.

I also am going to install my Vss gauges that have been sitting around to long. I want to get the locker installed tomorrow. And work on the shifters.

So nothing went the way I wanted today. I could not find a punch long enough at home depot or Lowes (neither one near me has a good selection of tools) to get the roll pin out in the front axle, so I had to order one off Amazon and I forgot to get a drill bit for my shift cable hole while I was there, so I orderd that on Amazon also. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I guess going to see the burlesque show "The Empire Strips Back" tomorrow will make up for it. I'll continue on Monday. I did change colors on my tie rod though, I'll paint the draglink to match.
