M1009 Standard Shift Build(The Greatest Adventure)

I have the PC diff protectors on mine, pretty good stuff. IIRC the rear came with the wrong hardware. Can't remember if it was wrong thread or wrong length. Just picked up new allen bolts at Lowes rather than calling PC and all that.

Anyway, they have held up to some pretty good rock rash while I've had them. :waytogo:

I'm already running them and I have hit them a bunch of times. I really like them. I got sent the wrong hardware also. The bolts were way too short. They sent me out longer hardware straight away.

Pictures are working :thumb:

Good deal on the rear :waytogo:

So, should I plan on bringing a "ready to go" bolt in fixed yoke 32 spline np208 with me to RC? :D I've got the other case at my shop and I can swap the stuff over this week.

What size yoke is on that rear? Reason I ask is because it may not be to hard to find a d shaft that may just need to be shortened that would work with that yoke and the fixed yoke 208.

Yeah definitely :thumb:

Or I can move the axle back... I will have to check the rear yoke.

I have a small stack of shafts in the garage, one is my original shortbed length with 1310 yokes on both ends and one is from a 77 short bed power wagon with 1310 at the case and a 1350 at the axle. Both are straight slip style. I imagine both would be long enough.let me know if I can help.

Ideally I would like to use a stock shaft from something so replacements are easy to come by.

Why'd you get green?

(smacks self in the back of the head)

Yeah, that makes sense. :waytogo:

So picked up a spare u joint. The driveshaft place by me seconded my yoke being ducked. I have that ready for my trip.

Brought my truck by a shop I know to see whats up with the bad tire wear. They said whoever was last in there fubared it. Got that straightened out. Literally. Hopefully for the last time ever ....

Now it's time to pack, tell myself I'm going to figure out my winch mess, and ignore everything else that may be wrong with my truck :thumb:

Just wing it. If you find out something is completely ****ed you know where i live.
