M1009 Standard Shift Build(The Greatest Adventure)

Rich I may have time saturday morning to pull the covers on the 10blts I have. Let me know if you are still interested, and what dates you think you will be swinging through.

Did you get a chance to check that out? Ideally I would be through your area Thursday.

I'm glad you posted a pic showing that you had your dog with you. That answered my burning question. When I saw a can of dog food in that one pic, I was like

My front tires started to get a funny wear pattern. This is the same on both sides of tire and truck. There is cupping just from the outer lugs. I'm running 30psi.

Could be the toe, in which case you would need to adjust the tie rod, or it could be the camber, in which case you would need to replace or shim up your ball joints. Since it's both front tires, I would lean towards the toe being off, especially since you've been putting a lot of miles in off-road lately.

Hmmm just had full alignment including ball joint shims while at deulings...

I would check the toe if I were you. Some guys run at no toe-in, while others prefer about 1/8" toe-in. They say it handles better. Of course, with these old trucks, you can get everything set just perfect and they will still wear the tires funny sometimes. I guess it's just the way they were designed and their age.

Weren't you telling me, at Glenn's, those tires shook on the highway?

Didn't I tell you those tires suck?

I had those SS Truxxus that I could NOT get to balance no matter what I tried. The GY 33s I had on the S10 and the current BFG 35s on the K5 run smooth as glass upwards of 80+. Get whatever life you can out of them and when it's time to replace, buy a good QUALITY set of tires and maybe you can keep up with me on the Pike.... probably not. :haha:

I see mtrs in my future. I have 3.08s so my top speed is unlimited

BFG Mud Terrain 35s have been good for me for many years. They just don't wear out. Radials do better on the road for sure. Or are the ones that are cupping radials too? In that case nevermind.
