Cause I'm quite sure my current ujoints are out of clearance at ride height. If I can manipulate the carrier bearing crossmember and the height of the transfer case though, I might be able to keep the yokes from killing themselves due to insufficient angular clearance.
As it sits, the entire truck shudders at low speeds while the driveshaft is still spinning slow enough that you can tell the shudder is driveshaft related. After it speeds up, it feels more like more of a hum. I think this shudder is caused by the ujoint yokes hitting their angular limits, and I think they'd have broken already, but when it hits limit, it must deflect the entire carrier bearing down into its isolator since that's the path of least resistance.
I think I can get it fixed up without having to resort to ujoints, this week is just rough since I have my daughter and I can't get any real troubleshooting accomplished; thus, I'm left with obsessing about it.
