M1028- [under new management]

And a BBC would bolt right in. I actually found a rebuilt (7 yrs ago) 454 in my buddy's truck that sits behind his house in Grand Island that I could probably snag if I wanted to.. I think the notion of converting to gas is all kind of a pipe dream for me anyhow. At least right now.

I would run your diesel till you can't. There are a few trick for more power and otherwise I love my slow pile of crap. I love the idle governor and plan on adding a hand throttle for country cruising. Hoping for 200hp and 400ish lbs with the turbo on mine.

I advanced the timing a bunch and it seems to have more power. And more clatter. Still no black smoke though so I might crank the pump until I get just a hint. That way I know it's getting enough fuel.

I don't have any idea what I'm doing with diesels lol but it seems to run fine!

Careful with the fuel, too much and the egts will get crazy. Maybe should consider the gauge if you want to go that way. Mine gained 10hp by taking off the air cleaner off on the dyno which tells me it needs more filter. On the diesel page a guy built a housing to hold two elements and built a new snorkle to the front that was 4" with no muffler.

Thanks! I'm pretty proud of it- I've been excited for the past two days as I was making the parts and my guy was putting it together lol

I've run it without a filter down the highway once or twice and it does this really weird lag thing when I get on the throttle.. too much air? surely not....

There is no such thing as too much air. A little fuel might really help.

I designed it and turned the clevis tubes, the CNC plasma table cut the plates, and my buddy welded it for me. This was all at school. I could have welded it, but it was mush easier for him to. Plus he likes the experience. I had some Pontiac distributor housing reducer bushings to make.

Lincoln. Machine Tool only has like one more quarter left there, then it's all moving to Milford. So I'll be out there for my last quarter. Apparently they're getting lots'o'money, so it should be pretty nice to work with some new stuff.

Huh? I never go to the student center unless there's free ****.. I'm too busy making metal chips most of the time :D

You work there or something?

I am there studying ALL THE TIME. Right now I am reading for my history final. Tomorrow I will be there all day working on Calc for my final on thursday. Next quarter is Matlab, Calc III and College Physics 1.

LOL well **** I knew you were in school but I didn't realize it was SCC Lincoln.. I just assumed that you lived too far away to commute. I also don't have the slightest idea where you live.. it just looks far away in your pics haha

Guess we might have to get some lunch in the ol' DFAC one of these days

I live in this **** hole with my wife right now. I still own a house in Fairbury for now. Be at lincoln scc till I start at unl next fall.

I see I see.. Well I get off for lunch at 10:50 until 11:40, Maybe I'll cruise your way tomorrow and see if you're there.

For now though, My laptop is nearly dead and my brain is ceasing to function lol

I'll have to do some FB stalking tomorrow so I remember exactly what you look like lol. I'm awful at remembering people until I get to know them.
