427,000

1,785,695 miles

On my brother in law's truck with original engine and trans

But that's normal for those trucks.
But for Max, these engines will go 400k mi so you're good for a while, little stuff like this is ok.
Like you said luckily it happened close to home

Oh yeah my engine still sounds exactly the same as when we bought it brand new in 02! Best truck i’ve ever owned. Lots of Duramaxes with way more on them than mine.

Now 1,785,665 Miles! that’s impressive! What is it!?

My Pete is a 2013. The most I've personally seen on a garbage truck was 725,000 km. It's a hard life...

I put 105,000 on mine in the last year.

I'm sorta out of town two days a week. Northwest as far as Mundare on Thursdays, Northeast-ish on Tuesdays from Westlock on out to Seba beach. Both of those days are 500+ km.

Even my "in town" days aren't in town. My area is Sherwood park and Fort Saskatchewan. My in town days are 300+ kms due to where I have to go to off load. Still, I'm well within the 160 km radius of our shop.

I'm not working this weekend, so gimme a call when you have a minute or two. :waytogo:

It's a 1998 freightliner with a 3406e CAT
That's a 15 litre engine.
By the way @tRustyK5 I drive local too but I get about 560 miles a day and average under 100k a year mostly 90-95k/year.
I am almost 800k on my 2012 now

Nice! Figured it was a Cat! We got a 3406 in our 88 General I like that engine, not one problem with it in the 20 plus years we’ve had it... and I beat the hell out of it!

Figure in shifting between drive and reverse about 400-500 times per day. Anyone disses Allison has no real clue how tough they are and the torture we put them through...

How many miles do you get out of a set of steer tires? We're just a little hard on tires too. lol

When I did long haul I got a couple of times 160k.
Now that I do local I am happy if I get 120k, sometimes I get a 100k and it's because I drive it hard on curves and wear out the edges before the tread is gone in the middle .
But I use those on the trailer.

I've never gotten more than 45,000 miles on a set of steers (we use 385's up front). Disc brakes I can mow through a set in 8 months. Driver's door usually needs a rebuild yearly. Fuel mileage is under 5 mpg (US gallon).

Took the old girl Christmas tree hunting in the Rocky Mountains today with Kris, Kate and Max.

What a awesome day to go for a drive! Very cool scenery out west. Funny because it was snowing and ugly at home. Beautiful beyond in the mountains!

Five years ago the pinion on my rear end wore out, the tabs that hold the u joint cups in place where shot. So I cheeped out and bought a yoke without a balancer on it.
150403 klms of droneing I finally changed it with the proper one. Why I waited so long I don’t know!? It’s so quiet again! :doah:

Every time I try to save a dime, it costs me a dollar plus a ton of aggravation. And quite often also having to do it over at the least convenient time, usually coinciding with having less available cash than the first time.
